Failing Updater
« on: February 20, 2006, 04:23:49 am »
I am a previous user who has played PS for a long while then quit. I have downloaded it again but I cant get it to update. I have tried looking all over the forums but I couldn\'t find how to fix it. I have used the updater that came with the download, but that shuts down right after I click update. I have downloaded the new updater, but that won\'t even open up. So, I went to the old updater, it opens up, so I click the box \"Update all files\" then I click update. It says,

Update started at 02/19/2006: 21:11:07
Using backup mirror.
Downloading zipped repository
Error downloading repository.
Out of mirrors.
Update failed at 02/19/2006: 21:12:37.

So I tried putting in \"2\" in the mirror column, it says the same thing. Put in \"3\", again, same thing. I have tried and tried and it won\'t work. So does anyone have any advice or help they can give me? I use an eMac and im running on 10.2.8.

Oh, and Chaos, I have noticed that you like locking threads. =)

Server is down, thus updating isn\'t possible at the moment ;)
Judge: Are you trying to show contempt for this court, Mr Smith?
Smith: No, My Lord. I am attempting to conceal it.

Oh, lol

Just so you know, when I used to play I found out this really bad bug with flying. Once, I flew out of the city =)

Yes it is possible! You just need to use some of the other servers. Download the Java installer package (the 10.2.x-10.3.x version) and use that. Should work fine. And yes, I am locking this as it\'s related to the server down thing (it would work fine normally using the backup except it\'s down)... As always, PM me if you need any further help. :P iLock.
