Ehm, sorry, but this is not 200% sure. After all, the advisor system might be redesigned a little and then the list could be useful still - modified maybe depending if we keep the things how they are now or not.

Anyway, it is all for the future. Temporarily it is like this.

Really glad to hear that it might still stay, I for one think it is very helpful.

How so?
Judge: Are you trying to show contempt for this court, Mr Smith?
Smith: No, My Lord. I am attempting to conceal it.

Adviser Points forget them not important, shore its nice to see my name on some list but not important.

Helping others IS. after all that is what i do HELP were i can and were better than in a channel all of its own.

If you are saying scrap the channel i for one will direct all my help request to you as that is what you seam to wont, it will free me up to Role Play and enjoy a talk with my friends without constant interruptions. ( by the way i don\'t mind the interruptions as like i said i help were i can, and my friends understand this and if i don\'t talk they know it is not because i am ignoring them, it is because i am helping someone.)

So to sum up: help channel is needed to free up normal game play. (chat and tells) without it you will find it very hard to Role Play because A. in middle of chat you get the I AM NEW WHOT DO I DO (or similar) do you a ignore it and hope it goes away, or do you hope a bystander answers the question, or do YOU answer the question. In the meantime the Roll Play mood has been lost. Thats chat dealt with.

Now for Tells. you are doing your thing in game, out of blue [TELL] were do i train this and that] [what do i say to NPC to get a quest.] [ I have tried everything to get NPC to respond he do-sent understand me what do i say?]

I think the examples above sums up my reasons for the continued need for a help channel.

Woah there, I thought we were talking about the advisor points list, not the entire advisor system :) The help channel won\'t go anywhere - it\'s an important and necessary part of PlaneShift.

It\'s the advisor points list that really has no place in the scheme of things, in my opinion.

Yeah, that was the whole point.  We were getting too many idiots competing over AP.  I was even getting reports of people tricking players into responding and replying with gibberish just to get points.  The score needed to go.  It\'s still there (as evident by the entirely too smart page on Laanx) by we\'re just going to use it internally, as a rough tally of who the advisors are.  The help system isn\'t going anywhere, we just want to get the advisors back to a more respectable state.

I would re-underline that the points will not be used just internally after the system will be redesigned.

With the solution as it is right now they don\'t need to be visible, but the solution is temporary and with the new solution instead things will most probably change again.
