Just downloaded the game after waiting a few days for the installer to be uploaded to a mirror so I could play.

Made two characters, both get the 0041AC3B exception. None made it in game, but atleast the first one was uploaded properly.

Hm, sometimes it takes two tries to get it right. Moved Kerila, Rogann, and Merric.

i just d/l the 1st mirror file cos the other 2 didn\'t work for me and when i try to open it it says

\"Planeshift_CBV0.3.013 is an executable file\" and that it may contain harmful and malicious files that might affect my computer...what shud i do???

First of all, the two mirrors haven\'t been fully updated yet and are not considered usable. Please use BitTorrent for downloading the game client.

Second of all, if downloaded from the main page, PlaneShift is guaranteed virus/spyware/adware free. [ We even have a sticker :D ]

Just don\'t use the mirror yet.

Still can\'t get ingame with either Rogann Silverbearded or Merric Cantle

Rhazid, I took a guess that this is also the name of your character - moved. Also tried one more time with Pocal\'s characters.

No need for that - this error doesn\'t mean that the client installation somehow messed up. You\'d pretty much be wasting your time and effort - how about recreating your characters?

I\'m having the same problem/error message.
My character name is Olengar and he was somewhere in the starting town. Can\'t remember exactly where.
