CS latest pseudo-stable..problem
« on: March 16, 2006, 09:42:54 pm »
Hi,
I first time compiled Planeshift sources from cvs.
I am on Debian linux i686.
I was using CS before so I realized the nature of the error I receive.
It says didn\'t find this file during jam :
src/common/psbehave/psworld.cpp:34:28: imesh/objmodel.h: No such file or directory

Now I guess that file belongs to a different CS version than mine (latest pseudo stable) or ..version changed from a couple of days.

Do I really need that ( objmodel.h ) or a different solution exists ?

Thanks,
Gab-

The latest pseudo stable is from January 27th as far as I know. If I look at the history of the file objmodel.h in CS/include/imesh, then it was moved from igeom to imesh on February 20th.

If you are using the HEAD for PlaneShift, I guess you need to update your CS as well (according to the PS history file the CS date should be 2006-03-15 now).

Hi Bereror,
maybe I should find the relative Planehift to the 27-1 CS version.
Don\'t know the cvs command for else than the head though.

I just get out of a versions nightmare , learning not to use CS cvs ever more ( with its nice mate cel ).
It had troubles with python ( which I guess is not neaded btw with Planeshift , from building guidelines ) not loading levels ( bootstrap in cel ).
Latest pseudo -stable is from 27 january.

BIG THANKS,
Gab-

If you want to play on the current official server, then I guess Planeshift from 2006-03-06 is the latest that you can use.

Here you will find my build guide with Planeshift and CS dates that should work with the current server.

You should use CS+CEL dates given by PS team.
Independently from their pseudostability, PS code is \"combined\" with a specific set of dates of CS+CEL.

I recommend you to check the proper dates through the compiling guides and eventually, in the development deliberation forum: here http://www.planeshift3d.com/wbboard/thread.php?threadid=18867&boardid=23&styleid=3&sid=acbece45d1a7321c674c0d233fc121f3 we try to keep people updated with those.

If you are using PS for playing, I recommend you to not use the HEAD dates.

If you need help on using CVS, I recommend you to check these: http://sourceforge.net/docs/E04/
