Hey Peacer, are you havin\' a nice day? or what?
If you do not flatten your image, then the background can be transparent.
JPEG saving tends to flatten it automatically--gif, and I believe jpeg2000 can have t-backs, but you are limited to what you can use in forums and for icons (due to file size). Try the other formats, or create an image with out any background--still must be careful, jpeg saving sometimes flattens the image to create a background.
(Hint: use the ps help--not always helpful. I vaguely remember a way to set your saves so the image isn\'t flattened, but I\'m not sure it is for jpeg.)
