crash in wood

hi,

- i was playing for my first hour when i decided to go out of the city (the one where you begin in fact)
I found a dark wood, then the server loaded something, and then a \"runtime error\" happen ...
is it a general problem ?
in fact, when i launch the game again, the server load, and it bug again. So, in a way, my character is blocked in this \"wood loading\"  ...(name character: Larss Saraw)

EDIT :
i just have tried to launch the game again. It seems that it functions:  i was not IN wood but just in front of the wood entrance (i dont know why). I decided to try to enter in the wood again, and it crashes again ......
now, i m blocked in the \"wood loading\" :(

can u \"remove\" my character again, plz ?




- what is the purpose of Hanquist (beginning)?
i wanted to talk with him, as the tutorial has suggested it, but he never stops to run and the last time, i was not able to see him any more. Do i have to check for this PNJ in all the city or is it just an option ?

  • We\'ve been telling everyone not to go to Oja Road.  It crashes... please listen.
  • Yeah, Harnquist is running around like an idiot...  known bug.  ;)

where i can get this type of advice \"don\'t go here cause it crashes\" etc ... ?

(In fact, there was a player that tell to me something about potential crash in wood but this what not really official for me).

Posts have been made in the forum about this bug before, and it is highly recommended that people search around before making new threads :) We now have an important sticky about the issue though, so it should be more noticeable.

Hi all,

I too am stuck in the wood - I didn\'t know it was called \'Oja Road\'  (Maybe a sign post would be useful?)

Never mind will wait for the update.... hold on...  the updater isn\'t working yet!  - I guess one thing at a time.

I\'ll keep an eye out here for news on the updater, then load the fix - will be suffering withdrawal symptoms in the meantime - Don\'t let me suffer too long....

Thanks for the Game Guys, I\'m really enjoying the adventure, and totally bug free releases are rare.

I\'ll be waiting....

Keep your eyes on the main page, at least once a day :) When we release a new client with the fixes, it\'ll be the first place for news. Else, we also have a \"Notifications\" section of the forum at the very top, where such important news will go.

yes larss we tried to tell you not to go in there by using our pets as a stop sign... but when we got a gm to move you out of there... we see a happy ylian comming by and walks into the woods again >.<...

just hope that your char are alright :)

How do I rezip the file.

My charter Choren is kind of sotck in the wilds at the mount, he was there before the update thoug.

Can you please move him, I have tryed the IRC allready thoug.

He often hunts the tesusang that live out there.

Choren moved but try the fix from Dfryer. You rezip the directory (not the whole folder) basicaly the same way you unzipped it. And one more advice: edit. Edit is good, doubleposting is baaad ^_^.

I only reziped the ojaroad01.zip, not the world file, ((having prombles with my cat that is next to keyboard)).

I did some mistakes when I edited the world file the first time so i got stuck in the same endless loop. When i got the file right, the crashes diasappeared so my guess is that you did some mistake, perhaps you have cut more lines than you should have. Recheck the file or download the one Satayne posted.
Anyway, as a matter of precaution i\'ll move Noolan also.
