What I tried to get at in my last post, was that Xilix and the Scions have been grabbing attention in all the rp around. For example, yesterday I logged on to Mitaki and tried to continue what I posted in my story about his return, but no one was in Hydlaa, or the tavern, and there would be too less of a crowd to do anything. I log out, then an hour later, Anfa and tons of the Scions, along with a huge chunk of everyone else was down by the Laanx statue having a meeting, I don't know what it was about, but it's one of the things I'm talking about now. I can't walk down there with Mitaki and start an rp over their's. It's impossible, they've grabbed the entire population and pretty much -told- it to get involved in every rp they come up with. I can't do anything anymore but continue mining and things with my crafter, which is right now upright boring. I can't keep putting this thing off with Mitaki, else it will become entirely pointless. The only crowd in Hydlaa anymore is either a swarm of people at the furnace, or Einnol talking to the Scions about something that I really don't know or care about. I used to be able to start a good rp whenever I felt like it, people knew the name Mitaki, and his purpose, but I didn't try to say "I'm now the Octarch, you have to do what I say" I said something like "The only way to live in peace is to attain it through battle." Now no matter what I try to do, the Scions are always starting some new rp that involves one of their members/friends doing something that makes a huge impact on Yliakum.

All I'm saying is: Tone it down, let other people roleplay about something other than what you have planned for them every day. There's barely any crowd left to rp with, and unless getting mixed up in your rp's, there's nothing I can do.

I'm not sure if this is your goal or not, but either way, you'll just have to learn that people are going to do what they want to do.  You can't force them to listen to you.  If most people want to either play with the new crafting system or RP with the whole Xillix and crowd thing, well, its just bad timing on you.  Learn patience, try it again later, and cool down a bit.

If they're able to have successful role playing events, power to them!  I hope the best for them.

To me though, role playing isn't about nicely packaged events.  It can be, but that's not how I do it unless it's to make a point or have fun pulling someone's strings.  To me, I play a character who interacts with other characters in a particular world.  What happens happens, and the fun I have is in reacting according to the character I've writen.

How much later? It's been about a month since I've had the idea, still no chances to bring Mitaki back. I mean, what happened to the good old RP's? There used to be a crowd in Hydlaa talking about general things, I could come, eventually bring up a topic, and talk, and have fun. But now, it's just about Xilix and the Scions. I have no idea what's going on, and there's nothing general about it. I can only sit there and listen about something that doesn't seem to make sense. I can name off a good list of people I used to have a great time RPing with, now I can't name any from this time.

one..the only RP Anfa is involved in at the moment is the one Monk of the Explorers is cooking up, I am just a source of information for him..

Two..there are only 11 Scions and only 3 or 4 on at any given time so I doubt we qualify as tons...

three..the only "meeting" at the plaza yesterday was an interguild competition that was extended to our allies...It started in the plaza..

So how is this "the Scions" fault?

I am sorry if all your old RP buddies aren't around and that the current crop of Players are unknown to you, but please understand I don't think it is fair to lay your disappointment on the Scions of Wyldewood and Xillix.

Do I hang out out at the plaza and chit chat with friends.."Yes"
Is every day a new RP event..."NO"

Other than the "Octarch" event there has been no other major RP involving the Scions of Wyldewood...

I hope you understand how frustrating I have found your posts since we have been very careful to stay out of the way of the older players and their RP so as not to step on anymore toes.

I hate being accused of something I haven't done and my fellow guildmates with me.

Suno I welcome you to work with any of us if you desire a part in the unfolding drama. I think everyone is at least somewhat open to that if appraoched correctly. I would love to see your character get back in the lime-lite. Tone it up. PM me if interested.

  I appreciate the fact that you are a little frustrated, but I am not sure exactly why my name was brought up.  My character is not a Scion (unless maybe an honorary one or something  )  Also, I have not "created" any of these recent RP's myself and only colaborated on one.  The one that I think you are referring to, as Anfa stated, is Monk's creation.  Yes, I am participating in it.  But, considering that it has a tie-in to a significant event in my character's past, it is perfectly logical that he would be involved.

I am also participating in a couple other plotlines of my own free will.  Nobody is forcing me to ... I choose to because I enjoy it.  From my character's perspective, this means that he has a lot of issues weighing on his mind and he is under some stress at this point in time.  His normally calm, level-headed demeanor is being stretched close to the point of snapping and it is starting to show.  But, it is fun (and a little of a challenge) to delve into that side of his personality.

I appologize that I am not familiar with your plot, but I would love to hear about it.  Watching (and being part of) dynamic, creative stories keeps me coming back day after day.  I don't think my character has actually ever met yours, but if so then forgive my bad memory.    If he does get to know your character a little and I learn more about your RP storyline, there is a good chance that I will try to find a way to help you (if you want).  The only questions are how much time I have and if I think it is IC for my character to participate.

We [my wife and I] don't know much about the Xillix thing that you speak of, but both my wife and I have never, ever, had a problem finding RP... and we do recall your character, and would join or even mix your RP with ours if we met... but to winge about others RP pulling crowds?  What is the point.  Either you RP your character, or you don't.  The fact that others have RP a plot different to yours or join in others' plots - is beside the point, if you RP your character, and others join in, they inturn join in your plot and you - whether you like it or not become part of theirs, even if you don't follow it through... that is part of the world of RP.

Though now you mention it, we have been accused of the same sort of thing - with the Hagarath thing.

What you need to be asking is - are YOU enjoying your character, and do others ENJOY your character... if so, the rest falls into place...

Best of luck with your plot line...   but remember - it is only a game so have fun.
