For people who compile PlaneShift using VisualC++ and who need help/advice or just have a question. :)

"Microsoft Visual C++ (also known as MSVC) is an Integrated Development Environment (IDE) product for the C, C++, and C++/CLI programming languages engineered by Microsoft. It has tools for developing and debugging C++ code, especially that written for the Microsoft Windows API, the DirectX API, and the Microsoft .NET Framework."

MSVC => MS's Windows Compiler
GCC => Linux's Compiler (also available for Windows via MinGW)

And, the "other" sub-forum is... useless.  If someone wants to try to build everything under something else, we're not going to be able to help them much.  Technically it's possible, though it's not going to be easy.
