I hope there will not be any kind of "Inquisition" on PS setting...
Or my characters would get into real trouble...

And btw, some Xachas "circumvented extinction and went back to their ancient traditions"...
So I guess most Xachas would either follow Laanx or their "ancient traditions", whatever they are...

(I hope nobody gets mad at this post for some obscure reason. I am just trying to help.)

      In character creation
  • Talad costs 16 points and gives you a +3 Intelligence boost.
  • Laanx costs 16 points and gives you a +3 Will boost.
  • Black Flame costs 6 points and doesn't give you a main stat boost in anything.

They all do more than this but that's all I have recorded in my spreadsheet and character creation is impossible for players right now because the server is down.
I don't know which religion is best for which race as far as roleplay goes but (correct me if I'm wrong) I think from conversations with NPC's the in-game god Talad is very hard to please and sacrifices never make him happy and the in-game god Laanx is more friendly. Have a good day.

Hmm, from my own findings it goes like this

  • Talad costs 16 points and gives you +3 INT and +2 Crystal Way.
  • Laanx costs 16 points and gives you +3 WIL, +1 Red Way and +1 Dark Way.
  • Black Flame costs 6 points and gives you +3 Dark Way.

Also, I think you have Talad and Laanx descriptions reversed. Should be the other way around.

To Marqsaynt

Lemurs were created by Laanx and majority of those that reside in Yliakum follow Laanx. However, majority of Lemurs that reside in Kadaikos follow Black Flame.

A large number of Xacha follow Laanx but definitely not all of them. Aside from the quote posted by lordraleigh, NPCs give this description when asked about The Windowless Tower

Quote
The great windowless tower is largely an enigma. No one knows who built it, or why it exists. The priests of Laanx are quite upset that this tower is taller than their temple. I've heard of secret attempts to bring it down, but all have failed. The fact that it seems to be made of iron lends to the theory of a Xacha sect who don't follow Laanx...

And the description of The Windowless Tower itself is

Quote
This gargantuan tower rises above all other structures of Hydlaa, but its purpose remains unknown to the populace. The structure is obviously a masterwork of Xacha design and Stonewielder architecture. The rumor is that this structure houses the meetings of a Xacha scientific institution known as the Octarch's Engineering Academy who are rumored to report to the Vigesimi, Amidison Stronghand, but no one has offered proof of this, and it is generally dismissed as an urban myth.

That tells us that some Xacha definitely do not follow Laanx.

Agreed on Dermorians, Kran, Ylians, Dwarves and Enkidukai. Although some NPCs hint that some Enkidukai secretly follow Laanx.
Not sure about Nolthrir, Diaboli, Klyros, and Ynnwns as information is either contradictory or incomplete.

Also, it seems when you're picking religion at character creation, you're really picking it for your parents rather than for yourself (although, maybe not), since it's on a "Parents" screen.
I'm excited to know more about in-game religions as well. Ideally, I'd prefer it if any race could choose to follow any god or none at all, despite what majority of their race does.
