Paths and Lifestyles
« on: July 02, 2006, 04:55:08 am »
Which would be a better way to play the game?  ???

Im new so should I do just paths or do the long way were I can create everything.

If I do the long way can I still choose to be a certain class?

This is newbie help so I thinks this question belongs here  :)

Actually, there are no classes in PlaneShift. When you choose paths, it gives you basic stats for say...a monk. But if you create your own, you can set your own roleplay history, which influences your stats and skills a lot. I'd recomend setting your own, it's easier.

Orc99, I highly recommend that you take a look at the stickied Gameplay FAQ and Getting Started In-Game threads whenever you have time :)

Yeah, this isn't like other games. Your weapon class isn't decided right out of character creation, unless you want to only train that one weapon. Choosing paths won't mean that you can't use magic if you're a knight.

I don't like using paths...I love getting to fill out every single tiny trait or detail about my character. It's a lot more fun and it can actually develop your character's skills more exactly than the Paths route.

That has been mentioned already! Stop poking her, you guys :P Especially when you know that I'm around and active in the forums. Let me do the moderation, and relax ;)
