As long as it takes. Usually the server is restarted immediately.

As you have probably seen, the server crashes sometimes. We analyze every crash and try to fix it. Once we have found what was wrong, the server needs to be rebuilt and restarted.

Unfortunately not. The "dead body" crash is a client problem and has nothing to do with the server. It is fixed, but the new client is not released yet and it will probably take few more days before we have updated clients in mirrors.
