Choice of race

Hello all!

I just stumbled upon Planeshift a few days ago and it looks very promising

I was wondering what the population ratio is for the different races at the moment.  That is, what proportion of characters are enkis etc?

I'd also be curious as to what led people to choose a particular race.

Well, for right now just looks. But also, certain races have certain stats. Look for it on the website. An example is, choose a demorian and you're almost garunteed to have a will level over 100.

Enkidukai seem to be the most popular of race, but I don't think we have any hard data with real percentages. People choose a certain character model because they just like the feel of them Someone is comfortable with Elves, so they choose a Dermorian. Some like the more "demonic" looks, so they go with the Ynnwn, while others have fun roleplaying a feline, or a being made of rock. It's all just preference-based, and this is how it is supposed to be - you choose a character not because you think it will "own" the most, but because it looks great, and you think you can have fun

Personally, I've always loved playing a hunter, so an Enkidukai was my first choice.

And me, well I love the Klyros, with their sleek wings  , plus they have multiple other qualities(which as of yet arn't in the game, but once they are they'll kick  ) and also they're just cool looking.

I see quite a few klyros around too. I'd have to say that the most part of characters are Klyros and Endiku...how ever you spell it  .

But read the character attributes on the site and then make your choice. Even though for now they still haven't put the attributes in.

I just cant decide!!!!!! I have an enki and a dwarf, but I want to make a finall decision before I progress any one character, ya know? I think I want to go with a klyros or one of those devilish looking ones...

When you have decided upon a race for your first and main character, your account has slots for up to 3 additional characters. You will still have to choose only 3 of all the races that are available, but you can at least  get to experience some others.

Note: you can only log into one of the 4 characters per account at a time.

Me, I'm a Diaoboly deply dark, red, and brown  . I'm sad because there is no 3D model avaible so my skin is a Ynnwn

I've seen quite a lot of dwarves around too...dwarves are popular. I'm an enki though.

Klyros is my choice. I've always wanted wings. So here I get them  . I just cant wait til we can edit their more specific traits. Then things will get interesting.

I have seen a lot of dwarves and Enkidukai, not too many humans or elves...
