Clear and black tiles in thw wilderness.
« on: November 12, 2006, 12:13:22 am »
In the area around Oja road and the area around the Bronze Doors instead of the normal tiles I get black and clear tiles:

*I don't know if the image will work, so the link is to the same thing.

My display drive is the Intel 82865G Graphics Controller.  I have Windows XP, and the computer is from 2003.

And yes, I did post this problem a long time ago, but I never got any real help.

Hello,

Upon the mention of this problem before, you were given a link to this thread. Have you glanced over it, and tried some of the suggestions contained within?

Do keep in mind that you have an integrated graphics chipset and not an actual video card - and if you don't have at least 64MB of video memory, you fall below the minimum requirements for the game.

I have 96 MB of videocard memory, altough I am short a little RAM, 504, not 512.

I don't remember reading that thread last time, how do you re-light, though?

There are instructions within that thread, I think.

Add -relight to the the target line of your PS shortcut. Right-click on the shortcut, go to Properties, and you'll see the target line :] Like so:

Then hit apply and run?

Yes :] Make sure however that before you do this, your character is located in the area where you are having this graphical problem. Once you've done that, log out, add -relight, run PlaneShift, and (once things are fine) log back out and remove -relight from the shortcut. Wouldn't want to relight every time you log on.

Ok. Thanks

False Alarm, "-relight" didn't work.

Ultimately I would advise that you simply get a real video card ;)
