CRYSTAL enivornment not set
« on: November 25, 2006, 07:03:14 am »
Hi,
I am having some problems loading the pssetup(app) and psclient(app), They would close right after I open them.
I had the same problem with the psupdater(app), so I used the unofficial updater.jar

Still I get the same problem. I opened file in Terminal and here is my output.

D84L875J:~ MAD$ /Applications/Planeshift3D/pssetup.app/Contents/MacOS/pssetup; exit
Crystal Space for MacOS/X 0.99 r0 [MacOS/X-powerpc-GCC]
Ported to MacOS/X by Eric Sunshine <sunshine@sunshineco.com>

ERROR: csInitializer::SetupConfigManager failed!
Is your CRYSTAL environment variable set?
logout
[Process completed]

Obviously I have to set the CRYSTAL environment variable but I do not know how to go about getting this done.

I am sorry if this is a repost, I searched the forums and nothing relevant to my specific problem showed up.

Thanks,

Cha0s

Well, the latest PS for Mac isn't out yet (i.e. even if you got the client running, you couldn't log in). Probably you're getting new data files with old software, and that doesn't work very well. Please be patient until dfryer gets the newest version out.
