ladder help

hi this may sound uber n00bish but how do you walk down ladders safely!
everytime i walk down one i fall and splatter its getting really annoying any help will be very apreciated

Try side stepping or walking backwards. Ya know, the obvious things.

Backwards don't work .... it ends up in a splat.
You have to turn sideways and use strafe.(walk sideways)

Walk slowly. Try not to race down it.

When i first started i splatted on ladders about 100 times trying to get in the dungeon then i seen someone do it and was like Ohhhhh that's how they get down the ladder.

If you can get up and down the stairs in the Windowless Tower in North Hydlaa, without diverting to the Death Realm instead, you can get up and down anything in Yliakum -anything that has so far been revealed to us in-game, that is!
