I would ask dfryer for advice on IRC, if he were ever on at the same time as I am. Or am I looking for him in the wrong place (#planeshift)?

Hmmm... I've downloaded the client four times now (once from the link in this thread, twice using both mirrors provided by the downloads page in the main site and the last one using bitorrent) and the program won't even open (not even bounce once or show up in the dock). It downloads relatively fast compared to previous releases (last time I had to dl it, it took me about three or four hours and now it's done in 1.5hrs or so).

I'm not sure what the problem is here since many already have a running client or at least get the program to bounce in the dock. I've also noticed that the news page hasn't been updated yet:

Since nothing happens when I double click on the icon, i tried running it from the terminal and this is what i get:

We're all running as admins? This is probably the #1 issue: PS has always had some messed up privileges. Running as an admin will help with a lot of problems. Also, make sure you copy it off the DMG before trying to run it.

hi
planeshift comes to loading the GUI then crashes down. i try to run it as user and as root, never did the update. my console log looks like the other one, so i didn`t post it yet. my system is:
imac 2,33 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo
1GB Ram
128 Nvidia Graphic
10.4.8 Tiger newest update
