What about crimes comitted by Sheeples? Such as destruction of property? And i would think it is best left up to witnesses to describe a crime if your character is in the death realm.

I would say it is safe to say that if there were witnesses there who are 'good' folks, then the guards would have learned of it somehow. Most players do not know what the Sheeples are yet, so would not think to report the crime here, or ingame. These are meant to be the Guard reports, so should be written as such.

I am formulating rules for what can be reported if there are witnesses. For now, it will be as follows:

1> If your Sheeple is killed, and there are no witnesses, this is what you can post: <Sheeple name> has gone missing, and was last seen in <this> area.

2> If there are one or two witnesses of unknown alignment, give them a quick /tell asking them if you could use their names as witnesses in the forum report. If they say no, revert to the first rule.

3> If there are three or more witnesses, and you know some of them to be 'good', then I would put: "Witnesses reported <name> as being killed by A <gender race> looking like [description of <killer name>] in <this place>.

Since there is not a good way to tell folks apart yet, we will have to give out the exact names of the criminals to say what they 'look like'.

I will give an actual example:

Guard log:
Victim: Arnigus Faymore
Crime: attempted assault with swords (refused /challenge by jumping away. Unrealistic RP cited)
Location: Harnquist's forge.
Perpetrator: Paxuin the Kran (name was said in public chat)
Witnesses: Ecuetas the Kran, and many others
Fine: No charges brought by Arnigus. Fines dismissed.

Victim's statement (Arnigus): Well, I am not quite sure waht the Kran's issue was, but I think it must have mistaken me for someone else. The Kran seemed very agitated by Goodkran Ecuetas's insistence it put its swords away in a public area. I don't want to cause any trouble here, so I think a warning might be best.

If your character was killed, and there were at least three witnesses but the name was never said:

Guard log:
Victim: Timmy
Crime: assault with knives, and murder (accepted  /challenge based on well played RP) **
Location: The tavern.
Perpetrator: Unknown dwarf. Described as [Cartman]. **1
Witnesses: Anonymous **2
Case: open
Fine: 20,000 Tria. **3

** List the IC crime, and the OOC reason it was accepted/denied

**1. If you read the criminal's description, and is says 'disguised' of some sort, then you may not say the name in the post. If anyone you ask to be a witness knew the name, then you can post the exact name instead of 'unknown'

**2. Unless you asked the players to use their names first

**3. Example fine. We will work on those later.

Now, if your Sheeple is assaulted, but not killed, you do not have to fill out a report unless your character wants to.

Any other witnesses should PM the poster of the report if they want anything added.

Victim: Minem (Klyros)
Crime: Death by strangulation (Argument over who broke a bottle escalated to Minem's death)
Location: Just outside the doors of Kada-El's Tavern
Perpetrator: Narure the Enki (name was said in public chat)
Witnesses: Irick the Enki and many others
Fine: To be announced

Come on, folks, you know you want to make a Sheeple. Ask the folks who are doing it already how much fun it can be.

Just create your Sheeple and ask the first Sheeple you see (or /who sheeple)for an invite OOC, as sheeples do not have to know one another, and the 'guild' does not exist IC.

Remember, Sheeples are part time Alts. Play as little or as much as you like.

The fines you are talking about: How are they related to the Octarch's decree?
What I mean is: If someone is kidnapped, and the perpetrator is identified, do you only have to pay the fine or do you also have to roleplay the consequences (which should be life-time banishment from what I know so far)? Or do you exclude the decree from this roleplay?

I will be making updates to the rules based on new Settings info. Might take a week or more, though. :)

Yes! My guild has not been out to kill everyone or control the economy, but I have always felt there weren't enough civilians running around. I will make a sheeple and contact one of you in-game when I get a chance! Looking forward to helping out! \\o//

This guild is incredibly strange. It's an OOC attempt to have IC victims? :P

EDIT: Thanks for correcting me Entevir!

That hasn't picked up because people never spend time with their sheeples. They rather spend time getting at other people's sheeples, I bet!

Under the Moon is reshaping it though. Let's see!

Question: Where do these fines go? If I get killed and someone gets fined 20,000 for it, and they pay up, where does all that go?

By the way, my entry:

Llams Artxe walks in carefully. An average sized dwarf, he tests his height against everything in the room. Assured that nothing in the room is smaller than him, he relaxes. Until another dwarf walks in...

Can't wait to catch you guys in game!

Any fines would go back into the Sheeples... to be robbed again another day. Or to make events such as the poetry contests. Fines have not been established yet, so don't worry about them.

Just a wild idea:
What if the fines would be some kind of out-of-court settlement?
If the perpetrators pay the fine, they don't have to fear further consequences because the victim won't report the crime.

Another wild idea:
Maybe the fines could be paid by doing welfare work, depending on the crime and the perpetrator's skills.
If the perpetrator has a high mining skill, the fine could be paid in ores. If he is a good crafter, the fine could be a high quality sword. This would make future robberies more interesting since the yield would be more various.

I think the second wild idea is nice.

And I'm getting a Sheeple too!

Some Sheeples were having a reunion at the tavern, but one of them was missing... This one was Zervei Tvis. The others saw him arrive early, but as soon as more than 5 sheeples were around he began sweating and shuffling in his seat. As the tavern filled up with people... and with Zervei's panic; he ran out the door with a serious expression and silly screams.

Does this qualify? I hope so! I'll try to get you in-game.
