are you sure its the mb thats the problem, and not something else? Are you sure the mb is even alive still?

not really sure about anything with, it just powers up then nothing... no screen nada tho... the cpu and fan gets power from the socket itself so that much i know works...

*edit*
right... now all of a suddon i get it to boot and it works... heh but for some reason it only shows 896kb ram  :-\ prolly some odd config that needs to be fixed so hm... i'd really need to get my hands on the mobo manual so i can set the jumpers correcly

rofl for some odd reason awhile after i got it to boot it suddenly... after some tinkering... started to read all the memory it had in it both 30 and 72 pin simms so now i got a system with a 83mhz intel pentium overdrive and a whooping 16mb ram heh  ;D

Thats almost good enough for an automated butt scratcher. I'm using a pentium 166 for a firewall it has 92 megs of ram or some odd amount. It is running Linux of course.

There are some tales that people could make a 386 run on Linux as fast as a Pentium 100 on Windows...

Now these old PCs are only useful for two things: Playing old "abandonware" games and as domestic servers for 2-4 computers

I would suggest replacing any batteries in the machines, as one day those things will leak and so will damage the board they are on.

This is the same for alot of old cartridge based games for any computer game collectors.
