Cannot connect to server

Hello.

Just downloaded and installed the game. Version 0.3.019
When I open it up I can't get past the login screen. A message comes up "The Server isnt available".

I downloaded version 0.3.018 last week and the same thing happened aswell.

I have allowed the program in my firewall so I have no idea what the problem could be.

The server might be down, but would it be down for a whole week?

Anyway, I would appreciate if someone could help me to get passed my problem.

by allowing it in your firewall do you mean a firewall in your router or a firewall like zone alarm, they are different things.

i got the same problem
i downloaded the game a few days ago and couldnt connect, i thought it was the server's been down or something.
on the server status page on the main site it says its offline?
so it hasnt been down? its just my firewall?
but i turned off router firewall (DMZ my ip) and also turned off windows firewall and i still get server isnt available message
hmm help us :S

The server was down for a day or so for the update. After that it has been down several times due to crashes or because of other reasons. Check www.hydlaa.com or laanx.fragnetics.com to see if the server is online.

It says the server is online, but I still can't connect.

do you have a router at all? If so the firewall on it might be blocking the ports needed.

7777 is the magic number

but the other one to check is in ps itself.
what version does it say in the top left. you should have 3.19 since the recent server upgrade.

trying to download the new ps client but it keeps saying it is not there or failed to change directory what do I do now!

Yes 7777 was already forwarded in my router. I have 3.19. But under Program Files/PlanShift its called "PlaneShift - Tech Demo".

I read that the tech demo is not the official version? But i've downloaded from 3 different mirrors and they all say its the tech demo.

they are all tech demos, and probably all official versions.
the file that you want will end in 3.19
i doubt that any ofthe mirrors have the current version up. the best way to get it will be either by bittorrent, or complile... but bittorrent may be easy.

1. what is complile and, 2 I cant even download it in bit torrent and last #3 I cant download anything. btw as I said b4 I have a mac.
