That wouldn\'t matter much, having a head start over all the new players is enough for me.  :]

And what you mentioned wont be a problem in the first demo, it\'s only a technical demo where you walk and chat around. I\'m sure you know, but.......

Could the downloads be split into smaller pieces, making it easier for people without cable to download the client?

I have 56k and it disconnects if I leave it overnight ;(

so use a download - resumerer - thingy .. like dap =/
and have your connection re-connect every time it disconects, automatecly.. and download this utility to keep you connected no matter what, its pretty useful =/

there is no need to devide 10-30 megs into small piece .. maybe the final game will be devided, but demos... come-on =|

i downloaded 300megs on my 28.8k modem , so get real

I was talking about the client for the whole game no the demo.

You could search on a page such as http://www.altavista.com for Download Accelarator Plus (i cant spell accelarator so just fix it) and download it............

but i also have a problem with disconnects i use WinGate and my other computer (the one with the connection) discconects ever hour or so.....so im screwed  :D

Talk about bad connections...try Aol they totally screwed i go check my mail and it wont show it and it says i got mail so i gotta reboot then get on Aol again to check it if im lucky i can reat it lol maybe it\'s my computer need to upgrade from ME  to XP maybe? 8)

I\'m sure the full game will be of that kind of size, but that\'s a long way off - the demo will be a manageable download for everyone :D

Well, I think 25 Mb sounds okay, but it could be a problem if everyone tries to download it at the same time and location. The server might crash. So, a suggestion: put some mirror-sites, plz.

Just a suggestion, but any 56k users may want to download an agent such as Go!Zilla ( http://www.gozilla.com I believe) for downloading.  You can set it to reconnect automatically, and it saves downloads, so you can get them in parts.  I have used this to get files well over 200 mb, so it may just be what you need.
