It depends on if we get it done in time. There are never any guarantees.

Like car insurance.

Will the female enki's plate mail resemble the male's, or has the art not been decided yet? The tail would look really k00l with a barb on the end.

Why can't females use plate armor? That's just sexist. I wore real medieval armor when I was TEN.... Fight the power!

it is not they cant use it, it is there is no art for the armor yet

This means, you can buy it, wear it, train it and it will even protect your curves *grin* but for everyone else (and yourself) you will appear armorless
So why do I love when I still feel pain?
When does it end, when is my work done?
Why do I fight and why do I feel that
I carry a sword, that I carry a sword through a battlefield?

Ideally, even the light and medium armor should look "sticky outy" instead of a spandex like paint-over. Making plate mail a texture change would just look incredibly silly, so that's why plate mail gets a bit more attention at this point, and races like Klyros and Lemurs feel left out.

I suggest that in the future developers take a similar approach to robes, light and medium armor as to the plate mail. Robes and light/medium armor of any kind should not be limited to a texture paint-over. Many games out there take the same approach to lighter and medium armor as to plate mail in adding extra polygons, bump-mapping, shading etc, so it looks less like spandex and more like real clothing/armor.

The reason we went with a simple texture change for light and medium armor is simply because we didn't have a mesh-change-on-equip system until much later. It is likely that in the future (when we can concentrate on polish) leather and chainmail will be redone. Our current problem and one that stops the art team from being even more creative with costuming is not being able to layer armor on top of the player's skin choice, and thus make sure that skin choice shows through instead of having to cover everything. However, I complain about this so often internally that eventually some awesome person like aarobber will probably code this in to make me shut up :)

I have a question ...

Can we expect to get some fitting headpieces with the existing and future armor sets? That's the one thing I find missing with our current outfits. The helmets that were made before most armor sets are ... well the mercenary helm is nice ... not commenting on the others :P But neither of them really match with our armor outfits.

I'd love to have headpieces that match armor sets, yes :) And more helms are coming.

And something needs to be done about helmets going through heads/hair/ears and etc. It looks ridiculous.

I fixed that for hair a little while ago, should be in next release.  Ears might be a bit more tricky though but it's a start.

I think some races should be exempt from wearing certain helmets, lets face it, if you feel inadequate about the size of your horns, wearing falsies ain't gonna cut it. Likewise fins and other abnormal head protusions.

It would be as if those "Cat" people were to wear a pair of paints with out that whole cut out for their tails, how painfull would that be with their tail all crunched up under a par of tight fitting leathers. OUCH!. Well that's is just like that head ridge that those toons with wings have. And the horns, being hard nonbendable apendages  they would not allow another nonbendable element to fit over and in place of them, like trying wearing two bicycle hemlets at the same time, no matter how much you pull the top one down onto your head, it will never conform to the the bottom ones state, as it is preconformed to your head size.

Unnamed: It's my understanding that those and most other clipping issues (or physical impossibilities) fall under the "polish & cleanup" phase. For now, the concentration is on completing basic content, which we're working quite hard to do.

The ears actually look quite alright, and the spiky Klyros fins too. I don't really think those need to be changed.
