Very bad to hear. May he rest in peace and remain in our hearts.
We're not evil. We're simply amazing.

Solone called me on the way to class and told me the news...as as our conversation ended that song that I linked to her on Skype and she posted here came on the raido. needless to say I cried all the way to class. and even now am having trouble focusing, I felt overjoyed today reading Solone's post at well he was doing, and now I am deeply saddend. May he rest in peace and be suffering no more. Thank you to all who have responded to my inital post, thank you Solone for keeping us in the know, and thanks to all who saw him in game last night and said hello and goodbye to him. God Bless you Materis may you sit at God's side now smiling down at us all.

I barely can remember having met him in game, but I have deepest sympathy for his friends and relatives. I wish I could do something to make the situation more bearable. My deepest condolences.

Oh no...   :(

I was really looking forward to welcoming him back after he got better but now.... I can't really believe it. It seemed so great that he was doing a little better, and I really regret not catching him the last time he managed to get online. I'm glad he could have a few smiles and laughs before he passed away. I didn't know him too well, but I'm positive he was a great person, and didn't deserve to have this happen to him. I thoroughly believe that he is in some better place, probably smiling down at all his friends here. My symphathy to his family and close friends for having to deal with this loss.

I just hope that this doesn't happen again within our community.

*Amarthame also takes a moment of silence.

oh no...I barely knew him (only met him a few times IG), yet still kept an eye on this thread and was hoping and praying for his recovery. My condolences to his family and friends, my thoughts are with you.

I did not know him but I hope he lived his life happily and with no regrets. To his family and all others who were close to him I give you my deepest sympathy and regret for the passing of someone close to you. Hopefully in time the pain will heal.  :'(

*Zorbels joins steuben and adds a poem as well

Let me be remembered
for the way that I have cared
for the people I have assisted
and the love that I have shared.

If I am to be remembered
judge me not by work or play
not by the things I have purchased
but the love I gave away.
I've been outside, it's overrated and the graphics suck!

The entire PlaneShift team mourns with Materis' family and friends for their loss, and with the entire community for the loss of a fellow player, guildmate, and friend.

As a tribute of the respect that was held for Materis by the entire community we will be collecting all of the responses to this thread, and sending them to Materis's Family. We would encourage anybody who knew Materis, either in-game, or in life, to share a story of his all too short stay here with us.

Thank You

Eriroley, thank you so much...that will be very healing for everyone. And thank you as well Steuben and everyone else who thought to light a candle, or take a moment of silence. It shows that you really DO care. Shambla thought it would be nice to RP a tribute to our departed friend. Anyone who would like to join Shambla and I in doing so, should meet us at the hilltop lake on Oja Rd1 on Saturday Feb 2. We will be there all day (mountain time) for those who wish to pay their respects. Shambla and I will be there and if anyone wants to join us it will be appreciated. In light of a certain person's previous insensitive statements, PROPER RESPECT and BEHAVIOR will be expected. Thank you all for being the wonderful friends that you are, and in my eyes many of you are family.

Korenis and I have decided to keep Materis in game for Siobhonne and to honour his friendship. Don't be surprised if you see Siobhonne and Materis together from time to time :) Love and hugs to all and thank you for your continued love and support. It helps more than you will ever know. That is what makes Planeshift special to me and as I said before I wouldn't be the same without it.

Hello all. I have been hearing people wish to hold services for Materis in game. Shambla and I are holding one on Saturday. There will be others, so if you cannot attend the one we will be holding, you will get a chance to go to one. We will be at the hilltop lake on oja road1. we will stay as long as we can during the day and Siobhonne, Materi's wife will be there all night (provided ive got the energy to stay up all night).
Anyway, thank you all for being there for us and showing each other you care. That was the most important thing to me was showing we care. Be safe all and hope to see you soon and if you see Siobhonne in game give her hugs. Thanks
