Stuck at loading screen
« on: March 29, 2003, 08:25:14 pm »
I\'m not even sure if it was the loading screen I was seeing, it\'s that full screen image that says PlaneShift on the top left corner, Molecular Blue on bottom right corner, and few characters including that huge blue monster. Anyways, the game seemed to be stuck when I tried to load the client. I ran the updater and tried different resolution in full screen and window mode, none helped. If I try to load in full screen, my system  would cease to respond (even to alt-ctrl-delete, and alt-tab). Please help!

System Spec:
AMD K6-2 400MHZ (I know I know, it\'s a piece of crap)
192MB RAM
ATi Radeon 8500 128MB
on-board sound
DirectX 9
Windows 2000 Professional

Yes, I have that problem too.

The first time, it went ok. The program even got to upload. But then I tried to go onto the web while it\'s initailizing graphics, and it froze.

I restarted my computer and loaded the program again. This time, the blue screen came up and it froze that way.

And I have also tried the updater, which does not seem to work. i do not want to redownload the entire game again, so would PS please fix the updater?

By the way, you have a great videu card.:)

I think you are running out of RAM while loading.

Please try again with .008 when it is out.  The loading requires less RAM in the new version.

so you have a better solution? I think Venge knows what he\'s talking about.
Appreciate his help or try to figure it out yourself if you think you know better.

currently the client uses a lot of ram, they are working on it.
