Your Favorite PlaneShift Moments

Lets hear what your favorite moment in Planeshift was (is). It could be a role play, the joy of getting to a goal you accomplished or maybe meeting a special person.  It can be any joyful event that you experienced that you wish to share.

For me it was solving the first quest in Planeshift, back in MB and getting the 4th place(along with 15 others  ). The atmosphere at that time was really great and it was something out of the ordinary when you consider that the only "game" supported by the game mechanics was crystal hunting.
Its still my favorite quest to date, tho at some point it broke and im not sure it even exists anymore.
There might have been better events in the past years, but then i dont play much anymore.

Oh yeah, i won a place in the top10 in that "game" Not sure though if its the best ever moment of mine

Mmmmm... bartending at the Kada for various fun players like Archon and Ralas. The good times at the old gold mine with Indygo, Venae, Xavi and many others. Messing with Shalmaneser (anytime anywhere). Being in the Enlightened and hanging with Daemen and Araye. Dice games with Einnol and Indygo. The "wars" between the Nightshade, Orbis Incendium, Outlaws, Sapere Magi. Black Monday, or should I just say: Eid (yeah I am counting that one, I sure am). Getting funny commentary from Karyuu at different times. Drinking with Frak, Pisik, Niu and numerous others. Indygo and Zhai's wedding. Hitting the polymorph glyph GM event  with disparate players like Duraza, Ollo, Jelem. Pisik ranting and freaking out. Learning the backdoor to the dungeons from Bitot. RP'ing with the lovely Miss Borimel. The trial of Daehaz. Hanging out with Mudis and Rooyannan. Sunday Ulber Hunts with the Elemental Light. Socia's rants. The first time Harnquist started moving around. Yeah, I had a good time in game for quite a while.

Sit back and relax, this may be a long list. 


• Well, I think making it to Hydlaa and not dying instantly was one moment. I spent my first year to a year and a half killing rats because I died when ever I did anything else.
• Learning how to talk to talk to NPCs and get quests because I spent my first year to a year and a half killing rats because I didn't know how to really do anything else.
• learning how to mine after I made it to Hydlaa, since I finally had something to do besides killing rats in the sewer.
• Agara sending me a tell every time she was on saying "Heya Illysia! "
• Truly RPing with Indygo for the first time. This is when Illysia started to develop as a character.
• Getting strong enough to fight off clackers on my own while mining in the dungeon. Man I hated clackers, they were always on me. 
• Having picnics, RPing cooking before the skill was implemented, and telling stories while people ate.
• RPing arguing with Marqsaynt, apparently that was amusing for anybody close enough since they always seemed to laugh.
• Maxing out Illysia's strength. Since Illysia's profession was mining, this was a big thing. She could haul way more ore. To this day it is the only maxed stat or skill.
• The developing of Illysia's sister Zandral, Marqsaynt had a big any in that too.
• RPing with Liadan and Marqsaynt was fun. Mostly because Liadan took up Illysia's customary role of harassing Marq while Illysia was "away".
• RPing Zandral trying to take care of an orphaned menki cub... Never dump children on random strangers, you never know how much experience with babies the people may have.
• Illysia joined two different guilds, The Black Sun Union and after that the Royal House of Purrty.
• Illysia finally attended her first wedding, Noriin and Velh's wedding.

Uhhh.... I know there is more but I am drawing a blank now so this will have to do for now.

I am just going to pick the memory that shines the most for me.

My wedding to Satayne is the best moment in PlaneShift for me for a couple of reasons. I have never seen so many darned people in Ojaveda before! All my friends in one place! It was crazy. No server crashes that day.  Everyone was having a great time and thanks to Proglin and so many others, it felt like a real party.  So much work went into that day from alot of players, and I got my first taste of what it would be like to run an huge event.  Here is the link to the Zorbels & Satayne thread and the  Screeni's. To all those players back then thank you once again because it will always be one of the more cherished memories I have of PlaneShift.

As for me, too many to list, as both GM and PC.  So, I think I'm with Dajoji.  Recollection can be fun, but the present is what really matters.

The very first time I entered the game as Odessa Wildfire and the friends (and enemies) I made in those first few days.

Spending 95% of my time in the Deathream as Alhana.  You wouldn't believe how much fun I had.

Watching my sister rp as Aluna.  She was so stroppy with people.

My first trip to hydlaa ;p
I couldnt find my way, so someone helped lead me there. Along the way, I picked up friends, a guild, and a very changed future ;p

Trying to join the Vespers of Laanx and being told as a test I needed to lead three people out of the Death Realm...waiting to die so I could lead someone else out again (and back then, it wasn't very difficult, even when not trying.)

Talking to all the NPCs and learning their jobs, then sending bug reports on corrected spellings. Ah, Grimal Bloodaxe. So barely coherent back then.

Receiving numerous compliments on the Arena Book. Also, the pleasure of writing the bestiary and seeing the kormi fleshed out in game.

The fact that the Third Way into the winch is still very elusive.
