I have seen that 'out of positional bounds' error, I even know how and where to provoke it. :)

In BD, find the big skeleton and try to climb the fence by it's tail. I get that error all the time if I just keep jumping the sides of that fence... (I want to ride the skeleton, okay? ;) )

My stats:
Dell Dimension 8300, 3.2GHz P4 HT, 2GB RAM, 256MB ATI Radeon 1950 Pro.
WinXP SP2, catalyst 8.6
Have you seen my marbles?

Here are two places, where I could get this error too, though I couldn't get the message 'received out of bound positional data... ' everytime:  sometimes my client just crashed with no message and no dump file, and most of the time nothing happened at all.

First place is at position (-114.59, 5.75, -146.87) in sector swr-blue:

Second one is at position (-137.32, 31.00, -110.85) in sector swr-purple:

My stats:
Windows Vista
Intel Core2 Duo T8300
3070 MB RAM
Nvidia GeForce 8600M GT

Edit: and another one, this time in Kada-El. I'm able to trigger it almost everytime, walking backwards near the chair shown in this pic http://img181.imageshack.us/my.php?image=shot15nl5.jpg

I get the message consistently when running about two body lengths in front of Tyrus in Gugrontrid.

Kubuntu Linux Dapper, ATI Radeon 9250, fglrx version string: 1.3.1072 (X4.3.0-8.25.18)

this has happened twice, once I remember was at the far left top staircase of the Bronze Gates castle, ended up being one heck of a short cut! the other time didn't seem too terrible either. I consider it the random playfulness of the gods!

This is happening with great consistency to one of my alternate characters.  To the point where I cannot get past this point in Grugrontrid:

Specs as in my post above.

The bug report for some of the posts in this thread, in case anybody wondered: "FS#1838 - Falling out of bounds when colliding with an object".
The rest are "FS#1796 - Gap between the corridor from Hydlaa Plaza to the Arena, and other maps", as Caarrie said.

I have run into the out of bounds positional data error as well.  I was in the Arena fighting a Rogue.
I will also post this on the bugtracker page for the devs.  While in the arena in attack mode, I started backing up away from the npc into a corridor, accessing my inventory, then healing postion, and finally was moving the potion to my character. That is when the error appeared.

PC Specs (PC used to create crash)
Dell Inspiron 6000
XP SP2
2 GB RAM
Video Card: Mobile Intel 915GM/GMS, 910GML express chipset

PC Specs to check problem
Fedora 8
2 GB RAM
Video Card:  ATI ALL in Wonder 9600 RV350

also, the /patition is for in-game, but what channel:  Main, System, Help?
and do I just type /partition  or /partition I am stuck?

here is a link to a screen-shot after I killed the client and restarted it

Thank you for your help in advance.

I don't know any GMs...I have fallen off the map, and it tells me out of bounds; moves me back off the map, and it's like a neverending fall.  I tried /unstick, I tried relogging.  Nothing is working.

How do I solve this?

this started happening to me a lot too, mostly when I'm transitioning between certain maps.  I usually just end up /die (ing) my way out.  But if you don't want to take that route go /who and see if any gms are online (it will say game master beside their name) or go ont othe gm chat channel in irc and ask them if they will move you.   As far as I know there isn't a fix for this bug yet unfortunately.

ergh. Tried relogging and unstick already.

*edit: Fixed...but it's a pain. I had to kill myself and restart the game.

Bakin, I have a Mac and had the exact same problem. I told someone in-game and they told me to go to pssetup and change my texture downsampling to 1/2. I did. No more problems. It worked perfectly. Hope this works for you too!

I'm VERY new, just trying to learn the map, but whenever I try to exit Hydlaa (by passing the library and exiting through the gate), the following, without fail, on all of my characters, occurs:

When I'm in a hurry to finish a quest, I have no choice but to walk into it. When I come back, I'm always moved here. This makes it impossible to learn the maps, because when I go back through that area it becomes quite apparent that I'm nowhere near where I was before. I suppose it'd be a spoiler to ask where this is, but it would be nice to know how to fix this glitch. I've been trying for two days to get from Hydlaa to Ojadeva and back without any luck. Thanks.

Using a Mac 10.5.6 with a 2 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo processor and 2 GB 667 MHz DDR2 SDRAM memory.
PS: I know I registered a year ago -- I stopped playing after the first day and just started again now, so I would still qualify as "new."
