Close enough!
To get the correct answer, you first had to analyze the question.
Now if I hadn't put the 'to their current home' in there, then you'd have to go back to the boards we had before they were migrated and taken ownership over by ACraig in 2002. But since that is there, 'current home' would be when things were migrated to SMF based code. That happened in 2006. There was also the migration in 2004, but at that time, it was migrated to a php based board.
Now that you know what time frame you are working with, you simply had to be someone that had been around form that time through now, who actually remembered that odd bit of history. Since Tom's definitely a stalker cause all forum moderators are such q-t-pies, including myself of course, of course he would know the answer.
The full order of succession was:
Moogs during the transition, who was retiring at that time anyways, so it passed to Kary, who was second in command. Kary initially promoted Santiago as well to help her out with things. I was just a regular mod at the time.
San moved on after a little while, leaving just me and kary. When kary stepped down, I was promoted.
A little time afterward, we also promoted Xillix and Kerol to global mod position. Also Mord was helping out with things, but never was global mod.
When I took a break for a 3-6 month period two years ago due to my parents getting in a car accident, Xillix and Mord pretty much took over. I came back after things got taken care of in my rl, and have been in the global mod position since.
Xillix and Kerol have since moved on as well, so at the current time, I hold the only global mod position.
So, Tom, I guess your question eh?
I am really not certain if I understand your question correctly at all, neko... I have no idea how to check since when someone is moderator, and with which level. I could assume that admins are global mods too...
It's simple actually. Click on the user details to get a full list of the user accounts created on these forums and sort by the position field:
http://www.hydlaaplaza.com/smf/index.php?action=mlist;sort=ID_GROUP;start=0Now, that has been cleaned up some in the last little bit, so it's much more up to date as well.
the hell's a global moderator anyway? i thought neko was a peon mod.
A global mod is a mod that has access to see and perform moderator actions in all sections of the forums. A regular moderator is assigned to certain sections, and only has the ability to perform moderator based actions in just those sections.
Think of a regular mod as an engineer/techie, whereas a global mod is the supervisor in charge of them all.
And of course, the admin staff has access to everything as well, but they also have access to admin based actions, like adding in forum sections, assigning forum accounts to the appropriate positions, banning troublemakers, etc. So in my above example, the admins are the big shots making the high level decisions for the company.
