Death Realm crashes

Okay, so I've been playing for a little while, and I finally ran out of free deaths. (note to self: next time just walk back from the Bronze Doors instead of falling on purpose) The death realm starts loading. No sweat, I used to play a while ago and I remember how to get out. My character finally loads - holy sh** he's standing on air. Is this a new developement to confuse people? Apparently not, because seconds later the client crashes.
So, how do I fix this? I've tried repairing, I've tried setting my graphics to the lowest the can go. Nothing works. Help a brother out?
I'm running Windows 7 on a Vaio laptop, if that helps.

What is your character name I can try resetting you to the DR exit that works for some people.

I just did. The Model setting loads the ground before crashing, but that's it.
