OK, I did all this, I opened the 13331 UDP port, set the IP to 203.81.47.74.

I managed to register a character no problem but it trips over itself initialising the world, I get a \'server may be linkdead\' message or something like that and returns me to the \'connect\' screen. I click on \'connect\' to try again and the system hangs and needs rebooting.

NB I am receiving my net connection via crossover LAN cable with my laptop.

i used the ip addresss and made a new char and i was fine. if you could delet the account Kodama that would be great. i only read the 1st page so if this has nothing to do with whatevers on the last page, thats y...*sheapish grin*

So your saying after our first attempt to connect we need to let it RUN for 2 hours frozen or just let our computer sit and then log on 2 hours later?

In some instances your first connect can take up to 2 hours to connect. You would have to sit there and wait for the first connect.

So if the program freezes while loading the world then its ok?
Becasue it connects but freezes on the load screen.
It says loading world and then just stops.
I have to sit at that screen for 2 hours, huh?

ok when i am loading up planeshift it just freezes when it gets to world intializing it freezes nd if i pess ctrl+alt+delete it says  it\'s not responding

How do u access the psclient.exe when i do it jsut brings up the game

I need a freakin step by step. I dont have a masters in comp. science so i dont get a damn word you are all saying. Upon making this guide, as good customer service, a company should make it readily available instead of being told by other people to just roam the forums. I know what i need to do but just saying change you IP is simple but i just play games and am not in any way attached to my comp. Please answers this berfore i start breaking things in my room, seriously.

Ok i Umm...Canged the ip but i dont know why its telling me im linkdead still? This looks like a serious issue.. it kinda sucks too

It would best for me (and the other players) if you gonna allow us to set the port that we want our computers to connect through. My local IP (192.168.0.194) is forwarded to port 28070 which means that I\'m recognized as non-firewall user if someone is trying to connect to me using this port. Anyway, what I ask you is POSSIBILITY TO SET THE PORT THAT I WANT TO CONNECT THROUGH WITH PLANESHIFT SERVER.
I hope that you know what I mean
