I would have to say I like all of Metallica except Kill \'em All and their very newest stuff. Kill \'em All was okay, but man! \"If I could get my wasted days back, I would get my life back on track.\" Umm, that\'s not quite the \"So I cry to the alleyway, confess all to the rain, but I lie, I lie straight to the mirror, the one I\'ve broken to match my face,\" kind of poetry that we\'re used to.
Now if they entered in an Ozzy era, I wouldn\'t complain.
I think if we give James a while to tap into his left hemisphere without the use of alcohol, he will eventually get even better than before.
The S&M albums really blew me away! I had expected the same ol\' Metal *versus* Symphony. Then, when \"The Ecstasy of Gold\" started, I was like, \"Um, what tape did I stick in?\" Then again, at most concert halls, the audience shuffles in silently, sits, waits for the music, then only claps at the end. It\'s considered rude to cough! So those musicians must have been scared out of their minds to have a concert hall full of maniacs, screaming, using foul language, whistling, and pressing their way up to the stage! I guess that\'s what made me think that it was actually a Metallica concert.
Then the Call of Ktulu came on. ooohh yeahh... ~_~ And it turned out to be a truly great blend of symphony and metal, each complementing itself perfectly!
Anywayz, enough ranting.
Prokofiev rocks!
