I believe in hell fervently...

hello, welcome to hell, I will be your guide, my name is john...

todays topic is trials and tribulations...

basically, I believe that we\'re living our hell right now, and that once we\'re found worthy, our suffering shall end, and they cycle of rebirth will end, we\'ll be sent to \"heaven\" where we\'ll be rewarded.

I just believe that when we die, we dissapear... and start over as the occupant of another body... what people call reincarnation...

that\'s part of what I\'m talking about, we\'re reborn over and over until we finally get this mess of a life right...

I don\'t believe that the cycle ends... I believe that we will continue to be reincarnated... but who knows, maybe you will be reincarnated as a bug and be splattered over the windshield of a passing car, only to be reincarnated minutes later as a human again...

I really don\'t want to speculate in it, for it is kind of confusing...

So if you cant remember your last lifes, why should you care how you live your life and what happens to the next you, because its not you, you see?

exactly... if I went psycho, I wouldn\'t really care about what happens to me, because I would just be reincarnated once dead...

so basically, you don\'t believe in a heaven or a hell because it gives you a reason not to care about your behaviour in this life?

hehe, with most atheists or agnostics, they show a nobility in their good nature, they have no reason to behave in a good manner, they do it so as not to cause pain on another living being.

oh, and most druids believe that to deserve afterlife, you should not be striving for a life of good, but a life of neutrality between chaos and order

My opinion is that life is much less complicated then people think. That\'s why I don\'t beleive in Heaven, Hell or reincarnation. I thing most people believe in reincarnation just want it to be real, since they don\'t like the idea of not existing anymore.

You can also think, wheter reincarnation exist or not, when you die you don\'t know anything anymore :)

The description tyger gave of atheists fits pretty good on me... I have no reason to be good, nor a reason not to... So in a manner of speaking, I am a noble character since I like helping other people... :) I like that...

well, it\'s true man, you\'re helping people out of desire to do right by them rather than seeking the rewards of heaven. which is truly nobler than a man on his deathbed giving every penny he has to charity in hopes of a higher return in the afterlife

I\'ve actually never seen the world in that perspective... Gives me yet another reason for being an atheist, although I would never consider starting to worship anything I don\'t believe in..

well, ultimately the teachings behind druidism come with tolerance, we beleive that no one is wrong in their beliefs, all gods or lack thereof are correct, as it is how the creator shows him or herself to the person, the creator exists or doesn\'t, as you see him/her.

and THAT confuses a lot of people.

But it makes sense though... It\'s just as impossible to prove or disprove as with the existence of a god..

heh, well, the thing is, a lot of former atheists who are druids will worship the creator as a nonexistant god. just like a lot of former christians worship him as jehova, and so on.

the creator can be viewed however you feel the most comfortable seeing him/her/it/not.

In druidism, do you worship the creator? or is it more like a  worshipping of nature... like wiccanism? (or whatever it\'s called)
