Creation/Logging on...
« on: July 14, 2003, 07:24:19 am »
When I get on, I first then create my character. After such, I go, as I was told this is how to fix my problem, over to \"connect\" In connect, I choose server \"planeshift.fragnetics.com\" and in ID/Password, I put in the name of the character I have just created, and the password I wish for him to have. As I was told, with this, my character should be created then and there, but all that happens, is when I click \"connect\" again, it says \"User ID, and Password are not correct, please restart and try again\" (Or something to that effect) Then it closes. I\'m sorry if the description isn\'t very good, but if you do know how I can fix this, please help me. Thank you.

Have you created and uploaded your character? At the last character creation screen there will be a button called \"Upload\". It is there where you enter the username and password you desire to have with this character.

I\'m not completely sure, but, I think this also logs you into the game. If not, use the normal login method.

Is this helpful?

Thanks much. Now I\'m working on getting on. Think I may need more RAM. I barely meet minimum requirement for Slow mode.. But I DO meet them...

Whatever. I\'ll try to get more RAM, then try getting on again. Thanks again for all your help.

Have a look at the thread I just made on Virtual Memory. I don\'t know the exact procedure Win2000 users should follow, but I\'m sure it\'s something similar to those that I\'ve already posted. The only thing that you need to remember is the part about doubling the RAM figures- the rest doesn\'t matter, as long as you get that bit right. :)

Well you\'ll have to do a bit more clicking in order to get to that screen.
First divide the points you see above next to Characteristics among the skills you see below it.
When you\'ve done that you can either click Quick Creation on the bottom left or Custom Creation on the bottom right.
Quick creation takes you through a faster character creation process where you won\'t have to decide your skills, advantages/disadvantages and the likes. You can just choose a class like warrior or mage and click next.
If you feel like defining your character to the last detail go ahead and press Custom creation.

After that you\'ll get a screen where you can decide how your char will look like, play with it awhile and then press next again. Now a small menu will appear where you can fill in your desired password, repeat the password below where it says Confirm and click Upload.
