I\'m just saying that you shouldn\'t blame (or hate) a guy for wanting people to play his game. Sure he may have registered to this forum just to advertise for his game, but when I say that I just remember a guy named Planeshift with 4 post recruiting people to PS on another board and hear this: It was even on the wrong part of the forum. Although that post was much longer and better writthen.

I don\'t want to defend a spammer, but a developer. Lots of people that have actually made a game in yuong age have probebly done a post like this topic once or twice.

Nope, I wasn\'t very active in the forums there.  (Scary huh? :P
My usual past alter ego was Dr. Dude, I embarassed myself a bit though since I was younger then.

Btw, Homeworld rocks!  It was awesome, if you like 3d-rts\'s in space go buy it, it\'s cheap now.  *Awaiting the arrival of hw2*

Okay, I admit that wasn\'t exactly a smart thing to do, even if the original topic is already OT...

At least I didn\'t join in with the spam song. I do have some level of decency. :P

The thing is, he hasn\'t posted once without something stupid in there.

First post: Poor/shallow language, posted in \'General Discussion\' no less. \"Getting ass\"? \"you\'ll get stuck from behind... literally\"? Please... this forum is used by a wide range of agegroups. Such language is unacceptable.

Second post: \"I love you\" Pointless post, spam.

Third post: Suddenly trying to defend his offtopic spam... O.o

Fourth post: \"I STILL LOVE YOU*!\" Spam.


All in all, any halfwit can see why everyone started complaining. Just because I\'m the one who started arguing with you, doesn\'t mean you can lay all the blame on me. This is clearly a view shared by *at least* everyone else who has posted disapproved messages on this thread, so I\'m sorry to say, Niber, it looks like you\'re outvoted.

Since when did we start taking votes?  Last time I checked there were more people on this board then the ones who have responded to this, I\'m sure there are others who think like Niber, their just not loud like most of the people who reply here.

...doesn\'t really matter anyways, it\'s the mods who decide what spam is and isn\'t

Yea, but it always bothers me when things go off-topic in the same thread, even if I am sometimes the cause, doesn\'t make it not bother me any...but that\'s just my opinion

Ok Mogura, I don\'t blaim you. Just giving my opinions on this kind of subject, and we have discussed those now and I don\'t want to defend too much of a guy that doesn\'t even visit this forum any more.

Yeah it might be as Kiern says that there could be more people with the same opinion as me but I\'m the only one dumb enough to take the-guy-that-don\'t-care-about-PS\'s side in a totally non-intresting matter  ;)

You also may want to look at General Discussion as this post is still there just with moved placed in front of it and when you click it links to the Hydlaa Plaza version!!

Whats the point in moving a thread then leaving a link in its original position??

I noticed that too... kinda nullifies the point of moving threads.

Niber, it\'s okay, I know it\'s just your opinion and I didn\'t mean to sound like I was dictating who was right or wrong. It looks like we both cancel eachother out anyway, so... No hard feelings? :)

I don\'t approve of spamming, matter afact I hate it just as much. The problem with it is it\'s free and it works.

As to the comment about checking back on the boards, I\'ve checked back on every board that has had any reply.. For those that are hugely offended by the language in my original post. I\'m sorry I\'ll keep that in mind should I post elswhere.

There is no good way to get a site published. However, threw posting on message boards, and posting in irc channels. We\'ve pulled over a million hits.

Our product is good, but we have to get the word out.

A MMoRPG requires two things. Low bug count, and high user count. For a MMoRPG starting out, a high user count at the get go is very important. We saw this and we\'re trying not to crush anyones toes  while still getting word out.
