Okey , first off the lag is IN YOUR computer (low fps).
And you think the dev should make the game crappier uglier and go back to 320x200 pixles, just because you don\'t have the performance in your pc for this?
I find it rediculous that a game should be changed just because some one has a slow pc (can you play half-life 2?)

You don\'t have enough memory to play this game, just face it. And don\'t tell us this game pisses you off.
1 we don\'t care, we love this game.
2 it\'s you own fault
3 why does it piss you off, I think it\'s realy sad that these things could piss some one off.

So basicaly I can only say, buy better hardware or don\'t play the game.

P.S. sorry for flaming. I just couldn\'t resist it\'s just that he is one of the so many that things every one should make things there way (egosentrik (how every you spell this) people).

lag is a problem for everyone, even me with my 2GHz 512RAM PC.

The next realease will run faster with less requirement however i don\'t think that 64Mo RAM will be enough. RAM is a cheap. You can probably increase to 256Mo without too much money. If you can\'t ... bah ... play angband...

Full game? No idea. PlaneShift is more of a journey then a destination.  We are shooting for the end of this year, the start of the next for the release of Crystal Blue which will have significant additions and we hope improved performance.

It probably won\'t have lower requirements... just more definite requirements, and more to show for it.

64mb will never be enough to play new games these days, not even in pre-alpha stages like PlaneShift is.

We assumed you had 64mb as it was the only spec you bothered telling us. ;)

128mb is still low though and you should still consider upgrading.

There are no \'best settings\' as such- it differs between PCs.

well i only have the lag problem when i face the temple.

even on my laptop ( 128 mb ) i have little lag and it\'s a pII.

so you might have too many network apps running or too many services that are being used ( that really is the main lag causer )

for the conveniance my specs are
1.4 GHZ
512 SDRAM
Nvidia GeForce MX 400 32 MB
470 GB HDD space

so am i the only one that isn\'t complaining here while my specs aren\'t that great ( only my hdd space ) and still i run at 1024 x 786 windowed 32 bit.

give the full specs of ur pc and we will see if it is ur pc or the game.

Also, if anyone could find a solution to why my character is stuck i would appreciate it, i am facing the fountain in the middle on the stairs and i cannot move at all when i log on.  However, when i went on a new character i experienced little if any lag (for this game that is).  It appears there is some sort of problem with either my character or the position where i logged off last (on the stairs facing the middle courtyard).  Oh yeah, i have a good comp as well.

Specs:

3.06 gig HT intel p4

800 mhz front side bus intel motherboard

1 gig Ram

64 mbyte Geforce 4 with
Latest drivers

T1 college connection

I sometimes get this problem. No lag, just that my controls freeze. But that is only for a short period of time.
It\'s only the movement that freezes, I can still chat and access the normal screens like inventory and such.

Have you tried typing /spawn yet?
