The final (final as in \"good\" version, not as in there won\'t be any more added content) version of PS won\'t be out for at least another year or so. They still have TONS of work to complete on the project, not to mention the mountain\'s of bugs to patch. As for now, SWG is better obviously. Once PS releases though, it will have some healthy competition with other MMORPGs (quality speaking). Yes even though PS is completely free (hopefully it\'ll stay that way *the game that starts with rune and ends in scape*), some people prefer \"professionally\" developed games over non-profit organizations.

SWG may have its flaws (and I mean MANY), but it\'s still better than PS right now. The Alpha CB release should be more promising than the current PS release. My computer can barely run it at all:

   1GHZ Pentium III
   384 MB Ram
   64 MB GeForce2 MX 400
40 GB Hard Drive (30 GB Free)

Hopefully, the PS programmers can tweak PS so it won\'t be a MEMORY HOG anymore. I barely get 4 fps...

I mean, SWG\'s graphics surpass that of PS\'s, and I get 60 fps in hhigh population areas. It takes me about 23 minutes (honestly, I timed my self... 23:09) to get into the PS world, and afterwards I get an average of 5 to 10 fps. Oh joy. A game that looks like Natural Selection (Half-Life mod, real nice textures and building work, but still built on an engine that takes a pentium one to run) runs at 10 fps. Please fix this inconvenience :) That is all for now...

I\'m pretty sure they canned Sam & Max.  I\'m not entirely sure of the status of Full Throttle, but I don\'t its favorable, either :(

And while yes, its true that LucasArts is a publisher, its not smart buisness sense to associate yourself with bad games, which has been the majority of LucasArts titles, lately (with some exceptions).  For example, what do you think when you hear the name \"BioWare\" (I know, they are a developer, but I can\'t think of a great publisher off the top of my headt)?  Of course, you\'re going to expect a top-notch, professional game, as their titles tend to be.  Conversely, hear the name \"Wizard Works\", and what do you think? Bargain bin material, usually.

I also agree with Venge, it is rather disrespectful to hate software (or the companies/developers that make it) simply because it costs money.  However, on the other hand, judgeing a piece of software based on its quality (useability) is perfectly reasonable, which is what I\'ve seen in the majority of this thread.  However, in that regard, PS rates rather lowly, as its only a pre-alpha tech demo; on the other hand, if you asked me what I thought of PS, I\'d probably proclaim my love for it, based on its promise (and due to the fact that I actually have fun while I\'m online, somehow...).

One question to anyone who has been playing SWG since launch (and is not a Star Wars/SWG fanboy), how has it progressed since that inital month?
