Help with commands!

I figured out how to move forward and back and turn. How do I:

1. open doors
2. find spells
3. fight
4. communicate with people. I have tried click on them and typing in a conversation to no avail
5. Where do I go once in town.
6. In fact, how do I cast spells once I get them?
