The Real Problem. For the majority of us

Hello,
well i for one have worked around all the problems and got the gamed intialized... i have a p4 128 g4 ti4200... 396 rambus... I get the game intializing... it takes about 5-10 mins on the \"Intializing World\" eventually it loads... ill sit in game.. not moving... an the game takes about 3mins a move... 3mins pause.. 3 seconds of play.... i dont kno whats wrong.. im hoping its a problem which can be fixed.. not a hardware problem... please tell me if u got any ideas :D thxxxxx

It\'s normal. Try typing /spawn in the chat window (providing you have first run the Updater program) and wait a few minutes for it to take effect. There\'s nothing you can do to fix it.

Whoa, 5-10 min? My comp\'s about half your speed and it only takes 20-30 seconds. I wonder what causes that...hope it\'s fixed in CB.

Hmmm, thats what i was saying... do u think it could be a hardware thing? like a conflict?

I don\'t know. What operating system do you have?

I\'ve heard that PS doesn\'t like Radeons, Windows XP, and some GeForce cards have problems. It also freezes if you don\'t have enough RAM/VRAM.

I don\'t know if any of those would be the reasons though.

Well i kno i have a pentium 4 1.8 ghz i think... ya im pretty sure lol... i have a gforce ti4200 and latest driver

Performance should pick up in the next release, but at this point there aren\'t any further updates to this version of PlaneShift. There\'s definitely lag around - but this has been mostly due to the 3D engine.
