How many cat oriented guilds?
« on: December 12, 2003, 03:41:04 pm »
Here is a question.  Just how many Cat oriented guilds are there?  Would anyone consider merging?  Do any of them have their own web sites I can visit.  What are their allignments?  It seems like every time I log into the game there is yet another guild with a cat/feline/claw orientation.  Just being curious ya know.

Mostly those guilds won\'t last for more than one day... others no longer than a week. I know there were two serious enkidukai guilds.
Home of one I know better you may find here (Felines Lair)
However both of them ain\'t active anymore..

Do you happen to know why they do not remain active?  What would hold them back or sepperate them from other guilds?

The guild started turning inactive a bit, but still - there were some active members. Then i\'m not sure what really happened, but i guess the leader couldn\'t stay active as well and decided to disband the guild. Why she didn\'t want co-leader to maintain it, isn\'t of my knowledge.

Well I\'d like to express my opinion but you shouldn\'t take it otherwise. I am not telling you to stop or quit or go away just to make things clear. Here goes:

Most other Cat guilds disintegrated because the members lost interest. It takes a better objective than to just form a guild of cats( Or any other race for that matter) to hold people together.

Now that that is said do as you wish. I will just point out that competent and well liked players have tried things along those lines before but almost always failed.

Indeed... try to make it more interesting for thy members than just a \'kitty guild\'
Felines Lair were runned quite nicely. And in my opinion it wasn\'t near to falling when it got disbanded. Just a decision of leader that I can not understand.

I was there when it was disbanded, so I have some insight on the manner.  As some of you may know, FL\'s leader is quite busy in RL, so she was fairly inactive.  Two (or more) of FL\'s most active and most popular members left the guild to pursue other interests, following which, apparently, by some agreement it was decided that it would be disbanded.

From what I\'ve been told, Feline\'s Lair will return in CB.

As a matter of fact, I\'ve seen member comming ingame and being like \"what happened with FL?\"
But that does not explain why Ayshe didn\'t want Xenia to maintain the lair \'till she comes back... I mean Xenia was fellow leader of the lair...
That is what I can not understand
Then again Lair comming back in CB... I seriously doubt it\'s such a good idea... making everything from start while there\'s other enkidukai guild?

There\'s good reason for that, there is.  I didn\'t mention the Xenia factor because of her right to privacy... And I still won\'t.

Who said membership is only limited to enkidukai.  Just because the name implies cat does not necessarily mean members have to be cats.
What about other guilds?  Are you saying that the Explorers Guild wont let members in because they aren\'t explorers or the ranger guild won\'t let members in because they would prefer to magic?  I am just stating that my guild excepts all races and job paths.  I think a guild is determined by the strength of each individual member.  How can a guild be strong in different areas if all members do the same thing?  In retrospect they can\'t.  They would have to depend on others for fighting, healing, weapons or whatever the need be. Right?

Actually, FL only allowed Enki members.  And the Explorers only accept Explorers... As for the Rangers, we do, in fact, allow in magic users (as a matter of fact, I prefer magic) ; we are trying to dispell the old Rangers stereotypes..  But that\'s OT.

Why\'s your guild called the Feline Clan if you don\'t favor Enkis, though?

I have no idea about rangers though... I still try to find sense in Seperot saying they don\'t live in forests ;)
however ranger is a warrior with some druid spells...

Bah... There\'s not really classes in PS so everyone can learn more than one skill. If a guild accept only thieves, that doesn\'t mean no one in the guild know magic nor fighting
