Don\'t worry people, I know it\'s quite frustrating not having the demo yet, but I\'m sure the devs are doing everything possible to bring it to us as early as they can in April. It will be worth the extra little bit of patience. I even booked an extra day off work tomorrow to give me lots of time in the demo, whoops lol

As a temporary measure, until yoursighost gets sorted out or an alternative is found, I am willing to host some of your sigs if you want, the board is starting to look silly . Email or PM me your sig if you want me to.

well to tell u the truth, poeple like me just hung around because what i thought they were doing was really great, creating a game for people to play for free. they seemed so organized and everything and it got my hopes up when they first started. but seriously they should neva have annouced this game until they were WELL into making it. it pisses me off when companies annouce something they haven\'t even started yet. do i really want to keep comming back here everyday for they next month just to see if they have released the DEMO? NO!, because after i see this demo im still gunna have to wait like years to see the real thing.

if u guys LOOK hard enough ull find games that people have already made for free(and will always remain free) which are alot of fun THAT WE COULD BE PLAYING RIGHT NOW, instead of waiting for this game.

I understand how you feel, I\'m disappointed too, but you have to give them some slack. I think there are still some issues to resolve, but I\'d rather have a functioning demo than something that doesn\'t even work.

The devs have no obligation to be answerable to us, we don\'t pay their wages or provide support to the project. We are the ones who will ultimately benefit from a great free game. I don\'t think they have announced this project too early, I am enjoying seeing the early stages of development of Planeshift and hope I\'ll be around to see everything come together.

Planned target dates and deadlines slip - fact of life. We should be grateful that we are even informed of any kind of date. Have patience, I\'m sure we will have something to see in a week or two or even sooner!

cuz i think tehy announced the game, to yaknow, find people to help make it.

the deadline is jsut something for the dev\'s to aim for. im sure makin a game aint that easy and problems arise.

well maybe its just me but watching games like warcraft III get anouced like 3 years before the game even comes out REALLY pisses me off. i really dont like it when games promise so much so early, but never follow through in the end.

and u guys go on about how they are all doing it for free... lets see what does this remind me of.... RUNESCAPE! he did everything by himself for 3 years and u guys all seem to critic his game, so why is this different

this game has been delayed enough. just look at the forums, u guys seem to jump on every newbies post who says \"hi\" just so u can raise ur post count. do u remember the old forums? there were tons of people there! but they all left because this game is taking too long. and its gunna continue to happen to. esspecially if people like me leave.

I don\'t really want to get into an argument with you over this, but you are now making this personal, and labelling individuals with high post counts as spammers. I\'d like to think I don\'t spam (well not too often anyway - I try not to ). If a new person comes to this forum (or any forum I am a long term member of for that matter) I will welcome them - this has nothing to do with my damn post count, I think it\'s nice to be welcomed when you are new and is only common courtesy and good manners in my opinion.

Really, if this place is now making you so unhappy, just leave for a bit, we\'ll still be here if you want to come back. I happen to still like it here and despite what you say about this forum being dead, I like and respect the many people who come here and value the community we are creating.

I have had a lot of fun from Runescape and have many good things to say about it (some bad things too ), but you are wrong, this project is very different. Apart from the obvious visual differences, Planeshift has a much greater narrative element and a complete different focus on role playing, and has been said on numerous occasions this will remain a free project. Many of these features are exactly what RS lack and hence is very appealing to many of us who want a more in depth gaming experience.

I know you are angry, but this gives you no right to start flaming. I\'m sure you are a great guy really, but to be honest saying you are going to leave is not going to make a bit of difference. These things take time - deal with it.

ok heres my two cents...

u guys all go on about how great this game is, but whats this? WHAT GAME? u say your building a community, and it gunna have all this RPG crud, and how its gunna be SOOO much better than all the other games. but how can u say that when u haven\'t seen the game or anything. its not even CLOSE to being finished yet u make all these assumtions.

i downloaded some of the sample demos for cystal space and the graphics arn\'t that great compared to some other 3D game. your right, this IS free, so dont go around trying to make it some glorious game.

i tried real hard to stay out of this arguemnt,
but i say, a game is what the players make it..
we\'ve seen the screenshots, we\'ve talked to the dev people.. we know more or less what this game is going to be ..
i think all of you guys are just exgadurating (ok i have no idea how to spell that word).

what is important for you guys to remember, is that the players is what makes the game.. we are an important part of gave development, i think, and the devs listen to what we have to say (i hope).

if this game will eventually suck, then, bummers, but im sure it wont . . .
but if it will, i will just quit.. thats all there is to it.
and if u people are already upset, and think this is boring then you can just quit to, but dont try to get other people to quit! just do what ever you want, we dont need your shyt
