Yes I was thinking about what they do in RS keeping 3 most valuable which was a good idea.

Well, another option is to create a system that could differ wheter a player died on guild wars or against npc\'s. If he died fighting against npc\'s, he would just lose many items and money (no exp), and go back to the starting point, but if he died on a guild war, then it would be like, dunno, he can\'t return to fight on it (supposing that there are special areas for guild wars)
for like, dunno, a couple of hours. Because it would be REALLY sucky if everyone could just go back to fight on the wars after being killed, no matter if he has no items.
I was cured, all right.

due to the \'challenge\' system that looks to be planned for pvp.. inorder for guild wars to be effective.. u need a system where all members of a guild issue a single challenge to another guild

if this is done then it shouldnt be too hard to recognise when a player is taking part in a guild war

i propose that when a player dies in a guild war they respawn at the guild house... thus a defending army has a bonus for being in their guildhouse and the supply of re-enforcements would be logical as they would come from the guilds base

for 1 on 1 pvp the challenege function should have an option for choosing loot drop... so when u agree a challenege u agree what can be taken from your corpse if u die... the rest stays with u (maybe not item for item.. but could be from following options: no loot, gold only, gold and weapons/ar only, all)

dieing to a npc should result in you loosing a fraction of 1 item type u may carry depending on the \'desires\' of the npc creature (ie a creature that likes gold would take a fraction of your gold... one that likes weapons should take 1 weapon)... the fraction/quality of loot taken should depend on the enemies difficulty

As much as RS sucks, you gotta give them credit for a fairly good way of dying, you lose all items except your 3 most valuable items. Stackable items are always dropped, and when you die you go back to the spawn point. Now in PS, you could go to the Shadow Realm or whatever instead of the spawn point where you would have to get out to continue playing, but i also think that you should lose some items but not all...like you keep the 3 most valuable.

Yes credit is due the only thing wrong with that game is the graphics there systems and such are very well made etc! Infact RS2 is coming out sometime soon with new graphics that will up the popularity of that game majorily (Already has a big population of players with the crappy graphics) I just might have to invest in a P2P account again

I never did like the death systems where when the toon died they had to start over getting equipment. That kind of make the player want to find a new game to play. I do like the system where the person has a exp debt they have to pay back tho. Keep the player from getting a depresses fealing that they have to start over. Maybe even a skills loose for (X) amonth of time where it goes back up after the time runs out.
Would also like to see a PvP and a non PvP system.

In my opinion:

When you die you lose all items you currently had in your inventory, you can store items at the bank (olny a few items), and when you get more tiems you\'ll need to try to find a place (like and guild house/castle) or otherwise an house of your friend to put your items.

And ofcourse as soon as you have money you can drop your items there :) This would also be an good reason to have an house!

This is another pointless conversation...It has already been determined that if you die, you go to the afterlife...If you find youre way out the, I believe, there are no penalties...I\'m not sure what your other options are...
