Revision 1.1337
Tue Feb 17 01:25:37 2004 UTC (2 weeks, 1 day ago) by acraig
Changes since 1.1336: +9 -0 lines

Updated Equipment message to allow for material changes on character parts. For example can place different textures for the Torso mesh for different types of jackets ( or whatever )

Well, looks like the devs already have the basics of clothing in the CVS for CB... now they just need artwork I bet.

Frankly I like the fenkis the way they are. I wouldn\'t want to see \"human\"-like clothes on them. They\'re more of a wild and tribal race, and making them wear jackets and leggings and coats doesn\'t fit, in my opinion. Of course I assume you\'ll be able to make them wear whatever you want in CB, but I hope that some of that wildness remains.

Enkidukai have fur (since they ARE felines), so im surprised they have any clothes on at all.

In fact, their description holds true to the furreh theory:
Quote
Their bodies are covered in short hair rather like fur, which is either striped, spotted, dark[,] or uniform

As well, they DO live in a cave, so it is relatively possible that the temperature stays at a good room-temperature feel.

Whenever I think of the Enkidukai, images of the Zorai civilization from Ryzom come to mind. http://www.ryzom.com/world/civilizations/zorai/

I would love to see some clothes like those - bare minimum, feral, etc. It seems to fit such a race more.

Ainagler:

Sexist pigs?  Take a lot at the models in-game for the male characters.  The males are wearing less clothes than the females....
My male Ynwwn is wearing a loincloth that defies physics.  That\'s it, only a loincloth.  If you ask me it\'s the men that are being shafted on clothes.

Q: How many Planeshifters does it take to expalin a simple concept to a newb?
A: Six. Five to argue on who\'s explanation is right, and Moogie to lock the thread.

None of the characters except the Yilian (thank goodness) have much of any clothes on.
Ninjas have feelings too.  Mostly they feel like dancing.

they do not live in a cave, they live in a giant stalag m/t ite.

big difference.

and it wouldnt be so hot on the lowest levels seeing as they are soaked in water and cold air tends to go down.

It gets warmer the deeper you go, the stalagmite is underground, very far underground. I imagine it should get warmer the farther down you go.

actually it would be warmer up top because of the crystal\'s radiation.  Also the planet is hollow so the temperature really wouldn\'t get warmer near the center because there is no core.
