« on: March 10, 2004, 03:20:42 am »
hi i used to play molecular blue a lot and then i decided i would go do other stuff and come back when the new version comes out.  Well I\'m back and I see the new version is still not out.  Does anyone know when this is coming out. I know it sounds like i have been living under a rock but whatever can someone tell me please

As everyone else will tell you, the release date is unkown. The estimates are \"soon\" or \"1-2 months\" (no matter what month it is). Crystal Blue will be out when its ready.
This question has been asked many times, on the boards and in game.

but hopefully since key features like combat and other things will be added, future releases will come a lot smoother, as the dev team will grow considerably in size and new servers will be put in place. hopefully cb can finally get planeshift on the map and on track. two birds with one stone i\'d say, too bad its a really big stone and its takin a while to get here.

Actually a friend of mine and I have been thinking about coding a simple combat system for MB until CB comes out.  Er...only problem is I don\'t know how to code and my friend\'s not really sure if he\'s interested. If there are any coders out there who ARE interested and have the time, please PM me. It\'s actually pretty simple to code, if you know how (i.e. I could do it on Pascal, but not C).

Edit: Ok sorry just learnt this can\'t be done as changes would have to be server side.

well there is always dice throwing and you could always have a good story telling compition. too bad those are usually fixed and non influenced judges are hard to find...

Well, if I had to learn how to code better and become a dev (pfft yeah right), I\'d want to work on the current release. You know, work on MB stuff to make it slightly more interesting like a fight system.

Wishfull thinking, all of it.

I wonder if the Dev team needs a story/content writer. Hmm. Probably not.

Keep in mind its not like cb and mb are different games. They are working on mb, because mb is planeshift. So in a way they are doing that except they are working on things that would make the combat really good instead of releasing a crappy combat very quickly.

2nd of all I\'m going for the title of story writer so back off bud :P

Whoa really? What sort of material does the Dev team need? Hey whemy maybe we could form a writing team and get some good history, legends, etc going for PS.

exactly my point. i have made a legend type story in the roleplay section only to get minimal feedback.

Hmm yeah. But not many people want to read the legend as is. If we write a legend, for example, it would be implemented in the form of books, some NPC conversations, etc.

if and when the lore is written into the game i would rather have god relationships, legends, and all history pre written for basis of current events and its easier making content with stuff like that set and offcial than making stuff up as you go along...
