Trying to start the game
« on: April 07, 2004, 06:40:45 pm »
Ive read all the linkdead posts and have tried to figure out why it won\'t let me play but my biggest problem is after creating the character, when it begins to exchange files with client or whatnot, the top of the screen says

Planeshift Molecular Blue (Not Responding)

And my computer starts going slower than a turtle making that stupid clicking sound.

Many a computer have I torn to pieces from the frustration I feel from that damned message, but in my experience the \"not responding\" may disappear and the program could start working again? Do you think this may be the case?

Dunno if  this matters but I\'m using one of those new cheap Dells

The first start of PS takes longer than a normal start. I heard it might even take an hour if you got a very slow machine.  Just leave it alone for a while.

But since you got a new (cheap) dell, how much RAM is in your machine?

Dell makes fairly good computors, I think even the cheapest would have at least 256 MB of RAM, thats enough to start and play the game (\'cause thats what I\'ve got)
