No kidding, that is amazing UV Mapping...amazing....truely amazing. It makes me want to model more :]  If only I had the time... :(

The problem i see in you sword is that the handle texture is surely a really nice job , well , the mesh looks also very good , it doesn t seems to have tons of polys and still looks very nice.

But if you plane to use it ingame , i dont think than anyone will see it once it will be in their hand , also the the texture seems too good to be a 256x256 one. Exept this , for being used not for realtime/ingame purpose , it looks very nice , but if it s the case , you might want to add even more polys.

yes your right the texture is a bit big 512x1024 but that is just my work size.
here i did some scaling so you can se it in 128x256 what i can see is that the text gets to blurry so i guess it have to go :(

That looks great. It looks better without the gems, or maybe you could just put 1 gem in... but it looks great now 8)
