mouse scrolling
« on: April 24, 2004, 01:14:58 am »
I think that mouse scrolling should always be active. By this i mean you can always use the mouse to turn left and right and look up and down. However the mouse cursor doesnt disappear like if you turn on mouse scrolling in the current version. I\'ve seen this implemented in many games and it makes moving around a lot easier. Just using the arrow keys gets kinda annoying but what\'s worse is having to use the page up/page down keys to look up and down. Therefore i like to turn on mouse scrolling but when I do so I can\'t click on anything which is a pain when i want to pick up a crystal.

Mouse view probebly won\'t be \'always on\'. What if you want to click on one of the buttons above? You\'ll raise your mouse, but it won\'t actually move the pointer, only your head.

But I do agree that it would be nice if we could click on what we look in mouse view.

that is exactly an example of why there should be keybinds which you can manually alter in a option screen so that you dont need to use you mouse for it.

they should implement a other way to move/act with the character

Like almos all the others mmrpgs, where you go when you click into a position, and them you can use mouse and buttons at the same time

I like the option to choose whether I want to use mouse-view or not. Sometimes it\'s alot more comfortable to not use the mouse, sometimes I use only the mouse.

Hotkeys for the buttons above would be nice, but I can\'t see why this should make non-mouse-view obsolet.

In PristonTale you can put potions in three squares and then use hotkeys to use them instead of scrolling to them and clicking.
Personally, I prefer the hotkeys for that, but some prefer scrolling their mouse and clicking. It\'s their choice, and why not letting them have this choice?
If it will somehow cause a problem in next versions, I could understand why it will be taken out. But as long as there\'s no valid reason to take it out, why doing it? Is it THAT hard to move your finger and press \'\\\' to go mouse-view?
