Wondering about starting place

Is everyone going to be starting off in one city or will you get to choose where you want to begin at? I mean when you create a new char and start the game for the first time.

This is actually a good question. Since there are many changes in cb I can\'t really predict...
Although I\'m going to guess that you will choose what city to start... or I could be totally wrong... up to the Devs.

I am guessing we will all spawn in the same place (at least in CVS, you start at the same spot in NPCRoom). In that case, I guess there would be more n00b piles .

Off subject..kinda....when will there be new cities?

I think it would be a nice twist if you started in a set city depending on which specie your character is. Example: If you were ylian you\'d start off in a ylian-based city. (durrr) Or if you were Xacha you\'d start off inside the labyrinth. Stuff like that.

This is a good/bad idea. Good because then you would define cities better. But having the option to choose the city to start will get more diversity to the game and people of different races could start together (for example: you like ylians but your friend likes some elf race). Having all the players starting in Hydlaa is fine by me ^^

ugh, that\'s a horrible idea, I mean, my friend who I want to party with all the time wants to be an elf, or nothilor, but hey, I\'m an endukai so now I have to trek down six levels through hordes of who knows what just so say, \"Howdy-do\"??  Reminds me of alot of really crappy korean rpgs I had the misfortune of playing....:: shudders ::

To be honest I have no clue whether people will be able to chose which city to start out in, however I am more likely to think there will be starter town where all races come to in the beginning, both to make it easier for new people to find other new people to team up with, and to give people the challenge of working your way out of there. After that, you\'re free to go where ever you want. So if you wish to visit your race\'s home town after that, you\'d better pack your gear and find a couple of walking shoes. It most likely wont be a short walk.

About the thing that there is only one city in CB (Hydlaa), it\'s most likely true. However, if it\'s not, then you can think of it as a pleasant surprise, however doing it the other way around would make it result in a bad disappointment if there wasn\'t. The only comment I could get about it was \"Secret\", so if you think there will be more than one town, good for you. Just don\'t get your hopes up.

By the way, dont spread too many rumors about what you think is going to happen.
