Since you don\'t want an official global chat maybe I will find a way to make an integrated IRC window. Then you could chat and stuff and not everyone would have to see it.
ACK. I believe that the desire to do OOC chat is there. By artificially removing the options to do so ppl. will be forced to find other ways to do it (even this very forum has an off-topic area, and the forum is not even IC-only!). This is why I wish an integrated solution instead of using external means, because once you move to another program chances are slim you\'ll go back to Ps soon, whereas if it were integrated you\'d still _see_ it and thus always keep in mind the option of continuing RP.
Also, before I can /tell or /guild someone, I need to know them, therefore I\'d have to meet them beforehand, which I can only do through RP in this case, which linits the ppl. to choose from. Also, the guild chat is IMO only for guild things, not for chit-chat among friends. By offering the option of an OOC-chat, you would IMO draw the OOC activity to it, whereas without it, the willingness to talk OOC in the game will increase. Ppl. will be a _lot_ more picky about that if the option is easily available (and continously typing /tell whoever is annoying) and therefore are going to tell ppl. to use the OOC chat, as it\'s easily available.
Therefore, if no OOC chat is going to be implemented, I\'ll use the IRC mod if it becomes available, even though I usually don\'t use mods. Not saying that I\'ll talk much, but I want the option.
