system recomened

I\'ve been searching for a while, but I cant find what kind of hardware you need to run the game properly. Im running it on a pentium III 500mhz with a 32mb videocard and 192mb ram. The only thing a can make work is the titel screen, and i can make a character, even that goes realy slow.

But there\'s another problem because I cant get it online, it keeps saying that the server is not avalible.

I know these questions may have been askt alot times more, but iam realy stuck here.
Thanks allready:), and i know, my english is crap

Your specs are very old. It would probably do better to buy an up-to-date machine, because if you want to play anything 3D these days, you will certainly fall on the short side of any game\'s \"minimum requirements\".

The graphics card and RAM are the most important. Get 512mb+ RAM and any card of 64mb+ and I think you\'d have no problems with PS (that is unless you got a Radeon... PS doesn\'t like them very much).

As for the \"server not found\" issue, ensure that you have the correct server address (planeshift.fragnetics.com, or try the server\'s IP: 203.81.47.74) and that no firewall or router is blocking UDP traffic through port 13331.

Also make sure you\'re running OpenGL mode and all your drivers are bang up to date. If you still have trouble, try Safe (slow) mode, but it will rely alot heavier on available RAM... which, let\'s face it, you hardly have enough of as it is. :P

Hope this helps :)

I don\'t know what Mogura is talking about. My Radeon card works extreamly well under Windows. The ATI drivers for Linux are terrible and you should stay away from them. Make sure that if you buy a new graphics card that you are sure that it is really a better card than what you already have and that your motherboard supports it. With a 500Mhz P3 you probably have AGP1 or 2, so you will need either PCI(not PCIE or PCIX or PCI64) or an older AGP(not 4 or 8).
You might be able to get a computer that blows what you have away for $400USD. I got an EMachines T2341(AthlonXP 2400+(2ghz) with a 32mb video card and 128mb ram) that included a monitor and printer for $399.99USD about half a year ago. It was the super low end when I got it. This would be the easy and probably more cost effective route.

you are right about most games but his pc specs are almost identicle to mine and I run the game just fine in most areas. The only thing that is different is that I \"upgraded\" (if you wanna call it that...) to 256mb RAM (I was at 192)

But yea, if oyu have an extra hundred bucks go out and buy a new comp for 500 bucks, they are quite cheap these days. Too bad I dont have any extra change......1000 rubies --> $100     =D lol, only if it was that easy!

It should be fine even without your DSL. It would run better with more RAM, but you should be able to play.
