@visser: Altharion\'s right, Morrowind\'s story wasn\'t that good, and FF-X did suck alot (and so did FFX2).
\"Hmm, okay, lets get a long and boring story and add some lost technology to make up for our lack of creativity, implement the same boring classes with a crappy interface, and uber-linear storyline, so the game is beatable by an 8-year old. Oh, and make them all be 17-year old kids.\"
\"Now this second one, (which is really the first one, because we don\'t want to draw attention away from FF11 Online) we\'ll fill with alot of cleavage and a**, the more the better, oh, and to make things comfortble, lets stay in the same world, with the same engine, with the same places, with the same people. Oh, and pop music and some more a**! Yes, and fill it with a totally moronic mission system!\"
@FlippySeal: Sorry to say, but that\'s just an excuse people use to throw whatever they want into a game.
\"Hey, its a \'Fantasy\' world, so why couldn\'t we have cars and airplanes in our midevil-type setting?\"
\"Oh yes, that\'s cool, some old technology lost in the distant past would definetly spice up the game.\"
Hehe...No.
Try to think about wat \"fits\" in the game, and perhaps try reading the background story to get an idea about what level of technology the world is at.
