I must agree with Joeyguy on this point. My fledgeling guild was not yet fully developed when Annah stepped in, having noticed my recruitment thread. If you take away the Dark Alliance from the Chaotic Neutral Blackflame Clan, you leave a shell of a guild that lacks a purpose, or really anything except ideals to draw new members. I, at the time, did not know Yliakum well enough to define those things. It is the history of both of our guilds that make them what they are, and it is the alliance of Black Order, Blackflame Clan, and the Dark Empire into one all-powerful force of darkness that can make or break the reputation of every guild involved. How many times have we all been recognized as \"evil\" guilds though the Dark Empire is the only evil one? And even then the guild is lawful evil (so they show some restraint, not chaotic evil insane murderers or some such)!
So it has come to this. It is time to reveal publicly my plans. Since the beginning of this very thread that you now read, I have been contacting old friends and allies, attempting to begin a process which at its completion would yield a powerful force to be reckoned with. The membership of the Blackflame Clan (which is greater than most of you know) and the membership of Black Order has been working together tirelessly since my return to put together a single guild, which is to be known as the Dark Alliance, that will support the membership of all guilds involved in the project. It was the original hope of the initiative to have the guild led by a triumvirate - myself, Kris, and Aelya. The guild would proudly bind together the Black Order, Blackflame Clan, and Dark Empire into a lasting alliance, not just contractually or verbally agreed upon, but woven into a structure that would call for the disbanding of each guild to allow full participation in the union. Kris and I especially have been involved in this, working out a guild history and philosophy befitting such a union, and detailing the nine ranks that would be therein contained. For a frustratingly long time, though, my private messages and e-mails have not been answered except when the recipients were of my own guild or my friends in the Black Order (excluding Psycon, their newest member, with whom I have had no contact).
At this point it is my intention to declare openly on these boards the project which is now fully underway, and to ask any who read and could potentially be involved, are you with us or against us? The Black Order and Blackflame Clan will now almost certainly merge and become one, but as both of us have stated clearly, the union will not be pure without the full consent and participation of the Dark Empire. There is little to be lost, and much to be gained. You may also notice that previously in this thread many times was mentioned the need to speak with members of the ForsakenOnes and Hellsing. My questions about the latter were answered as per Kiern, which was to say I have finally been given some clue as to who Hellsing ever was besides General Alucard. As for the former, I have been been playing \"PM tag\" with Windwalker a bit but that\'s about it. Dark Empire and ForsakenOnes, the time is now. I wish to know what your feelings toward this are. As the ForsakenOnes were not involved in the Alliance itself, their guild lore has not been incorporated into the plans for this new guild. However, if they do disband, as they seem to be on the brink of doing, I would gladly extend membership to each and every former member of theirs.
This undertaking is ripe, and already it has gone much further than I had anticipated to only have partial participation from the Allies. I will, out of courtesy, halt my guild\'s involvement in the project, until an answer one way or the other is received from those to whom I have extended an invitation. What say you all?
[edit] Until this issue gets resolved the BFC will have a temporary website. Please forgive the lack of effort and the geocities hosting until I can get either (a) a Dark Alliance all-encompassing page up or (b) a new and improved website for the Ciphers!
