FS#506 - Floating helm
I’m not sure what happened, as this is the first time I have seen this, and I have worn my helm quite a bit. As you can see in the pictures, my helm stays floating above my head when I am sitting…even when I am not wearing it!

Probably fixed with other bug fixes.
I think I have experienced the same thing, equipped items not dequipping correctly and then they don’t follow the movement of the character.
A few items this has happened for me with: steel falchion, dagger blade, rock pick (all equipped in hands, not following the arm movements when walking)
Note: the floating items are not seen by other players (at least not in what I experienced)
I have seen this on multiple occasions and it always results from using /equip and /dequip shortcuts.
Changing to new on the evidence of three witnesses.
Actually for me it happened without using any shortcuts. I don’t use shortcuts for equipping/dequipping my armor.
I think this is for acraig. Please, reassign if not correct.
I know there was an issue relating to this that was fixed and I cannot duplicate this problem. If you see it happen again and can provide some more information about the situation in which it occurs please add a comment.

As there haven’t been any complaints during the last 10 months, I guess the bug is fixed and ready to close, I’ve never had this problem.
I’ve had short swords “floating” besides my fem Dermorian a week or so ago while holding the real ones in hand. Walking/running looked like I had 2 swords on each side, one in hand, one where it would be while standing still. This the same bug? Then it’s still there, though I only ever encountered it this one time.
had this problem 3 days ago at harns after hammering on a dagger blade I removed the book and it still showed as there till I logged out and back in
can’t reproduce and never seen myself. i think this can be safely closed.
No such reports in over a year and similar bugs have been fixed in the meantime. Closing this report. If this re-occurs in trunk (or after next release), re-open (or open a new bug).
